Some of my non malayali friends say its hard to satisfy a mallu cinephile coz their taste are different, so if one from kerala says its a good movie then it is a good movie most probably. So just like that saying this movie is so EPIC ,that every friends of mine appreciate this. We were too late to watch it. We didnt know an amazing film like this ever existed in Indian movie. i saw this at the new york film festival.. This movie is the best ive seen so far in tamil cinema. I would say kumararaja is the best director in tamil now. i hope the censors dont bleep too many dialogues during the wide release. The trailer is not doing much justice to the movie which is way way better than it seems on the cover. Just go an see when it comes out.

One of the finest cult movie ... It didn't work out at that time only because of one reason ... Jackie Shroff in the posters.... Tamil people never watch movies that have an alien face in the main poster . It has always been that way ... People thought it would be some dubbing movie....Aaranya kaandam is my go to film, when I write my scripts ... It has also taught me how important casting is .. if the casting is wrong, how ever good the film might be, it will never work among native audience ...
