Race objectives level up your specialists over time. They can unlock perks like reduce R&D time, failure and so on. Well worth doing but your rating stats ONLY increase when on track.

I think it's more this year game punishing people that are overdriving and pushing to much lap after lap with harsher tyre wear than the handling model

@@jevens4636 It's not about the punishment. With this handling model you go 5 - 6 seconds faster on Monaco circuit than the real quali lap record. And 8 - 9 seconds faster than this year's real cars.

Try sim racing setups they have great videos for optimal setups but on their website they have community made setups that I’ve found pretty good while I wait for their official setups. And they work on both wheel and control in on controller but they are made on wheel.
