Michael Porter Jr, Aaron Gordon, and the rest of the Denver Nuggets were back at Ball Arena for this year's media day. Here is the full press conference from MPJ and AG.
MPJ showed maturity and wisdom as he explained why he is comfortable growing within his role, rather than reaching outside of it. Aaron Gordon explained why he loved Serbia and shared notes on his trip to Sombor to visit with Nikola Joic.

Well Gordon, i am Serbian and i used to have dreadlocks, and i am living in small town, little bigger than Sombor and trust me, people saw me everyday and still after few years they were all still baffled by my dreadlocks, it was like i am circus clown in my town... :D

If I was there, as a Serb, I would also question the dreadlocks like it's an invasive species. Serbs are usually clean cut AF, so the fact you did it makes me like you even more. I remember a buddy of mine from the US got married to a Serbian woman, and decided to upstart his music career in Belgrade/Europe. At that point in time, he was one of the only Black folk in Belgrade, so he would get looks everyday, like someone spotted a lion in the distance. He was tall, black, and extremely handsome, not many men liked him. My cousin on the other hand, was half black and got estranged from family, for being half Serb, even though he was Serbian through and through.... I mean even more than me, I have a French accent when speaking my language, so I am always seen as a stranger. Let's just say Serbia takes a while to change, but when it does, we open our arms freely, and make sure anyone visiting has the best experience. And that their bellies are full when they leave.

“All this podcast stuff”? He’s done like… 5 lol. He’s not arrogant at all. He was a number one five star recruit. He’s accepted being a borderline role player while still leaving open the star possibility better than anyone in the nba imo.

@RadiantandDire 8 ай бұрын
@@OwenHooper-mv4fm and he should have stayed the course the goal for him is to be special and healthy Jabari Parker was a 5 star too. I feel that requires a manic approach almost especially considering his back and not to have side gigs he has a max contract so we need to see the max dedication. I'm not saying he shouldn't do a pod but the look isn't good got the highlights and the tats after only 1 ring when he didn't have the best finals and playoffs every hour that it took to get styled and tatted was an hour for flexibility and dexterity and conditioning he has shooting talent but needs the work to actually be the leagues best. The best shooters are the best conditioned to do all the like catch and shoot, off the dribble and end of shot clock sets. Focusing on the outside appearance while Giannis and the bucks are hungry is not a mistake he should make with Bruce and Jeff leaving he has to be first to say I am healthy to bang at the 4 some (happy he worked on his handling to do some of the work Bruce was) and conditioned to stay with the second unit and shot create then slide back with Jok and Jamal to slash,cut, catch and shoot,move round screens to get open and then in moments when a play breaks down be special.

@@RadiantandDire Jokic doesn't have a maniacal approach. He also just said he barely touched a basketball while back home in Serbia....he LITERALLY treats the NBA as his 9-5 job, clock in and clock out mindset, yet he's still special. I'm almost certain MPJ actually spent more time on getting better than Jokic did.
@RadiantandDire
@RadiantandDire 8 ай бұрын
@@dontAtMe69420 I think we can attest Jokic is a 2 time MVP, multiple all-star, all NBA, now champion and finals MVP. He is such a great guy because he understates the work he puts in to get to that level. Working on his body lost a lot of weight. And now after all that he rested he deserves it he didn't come back with an arm sleeve or tats he spent time at home with his family off the radar with no distractions. Aaron Gordon even went to Serbia and worked out with Jokic for a week so he wasn't doing nothing my friend. MPJ hasn't done any of that injuries play a part but trust me Jokic treats it like a 9-5 because he is a professional he gets everything that he needs to get done in the time required and that takes elite preparation and if you look at what he does every pre-season you will see he does a lot but doesn't talk about it.
@dontAtMe69420

@@RadiantandDire who said Jokic didn't do anything or didnt put in work. I said he barely picked up a basketball...came from his mouth not mine. So what if MPJ got a sleeve? Im 100% sure Jokic spent more time in the stables than MPJ spent time sitting on the tattoo chair.
