Aaron Hall lead singer of Guy had plenty of trauma to draw from in his life. He grew up in the Bronx where he has been shot and stabbed. Before his 21st birthday on Christmas Day he witnessed his mother hit and killed by a drunk driver. In '94 his son Aaron Jr died in his arms shortly after his birth.

Aaron Hall is a very underrated male vocalist. He’s probably best known for his lead singing for GUY, but true R&B aficionados did not sleep on his solo efforts. @@DawgcityClev You’re overthinking my comment.. Aaron is a powerhouse talent but in his day you had the likes of R. Kelley, Keith Sweat, Joe, Luther Vandross, and others who made their careers as soloist. Aaron made a splash with guy but Teddy Riley got a lot of the attention with his continued success with Blackstreet , WrecknEffect, and his writing hits for others in the industry. I’m a huge fan of Aaron Hall, he deserves to be more recognized is what I was stating. Appreciate you defending him but my comment is 100percent the opposite of your interpretation.

I've seen Guy in concert! Aaron Hall was really good as the lead Vocalist but as a solo artist he just didn't have the same level of success! He is not on the same level as R Kelly, Keith Sweat, Joe and Luther who were all better solo artists! Now Luther and R Kelly are two of the greatest to ever sing!! I thought A Hall would have more success but he didn't! I also think the lead singer from Backstreet is a better solo artist than A Hall!
