People in the comments continuously roasting Kyro about Scientology because "they don't understand it" is completely incorrect. They are in the comments because they've watched the documentaries, gone down the KZbin rabbit holes, and heard all the stories of abuse and disassociation. Yeah, they rope you in with the $100 communication courses and $30 books, but ask Aaron about the $5000 purification rundown, or the $45,000 OT3 course where they handcuff a briefcase to your wrist and you get to read the handwritten by L Ron Hubbard secret texts....which are just made up Sci-Fi mumbo jumbo that is covered in 5 minutes by South Park. Aaron also whitewashes the human trafficking and financial crimes. They can't recruit in the USA because everyone has the internet and no it's a scam. So they've been bringing in people from Mexico, South America, Latin American, Africa, etc with the promise of the American Dream if they join the sea org. But what really happens is they get you to LA or Clearwater, take your passport, shove you in a dilapidated old hotel or apartmebt complex Scientology bought 40 yrs ago bunked with 8 other people living in squaller making $47 dollar a week...cause youre a "religious volunteer" not a employee....and they make you work 15 hours a day 6-7 days a week. Aaron will never agree to do an interview with someone who will be knowledgeable about these abuses or skilled enough an interviewer to press back or not fall for the change the subject tricks he learned in those communications classes that these guys fell into!!

They will chase you down, yell in your face, scream lies about you in public. I love what Aaron has done for skateboarding, totally crushed to hear he bought into such a disturbing and manipulative cult that destroys families and people's lives under the guise of "creating a better world".

Big ups to Jeff for asking questions about Scientology. I know it was probably hard coming up with meaningful questions on the spot, but you did a great job and asked some general questions I think were important to ask. Aaron gave dodgy non-answers, and conveniently left out how he initially got involved with Scientology, until Jeff kept playing dumb and repeatedly asked the same question. At first it was Aaron just took a course, then it was he paid to take the course, then it was Scientologists showed up to his door and he took a personality test while he wasn't in a great mind state - and they told him to take courses with their Church. Scientology and Kyro are sketchy. Big ups Jeff.

Meanwhile, he's donated literally $1,000,000+ USD to be promoted/move up within the Scientology church. From the video posted on Growing Up in Scientology's channel, he has a whole video going through all of this information / the organization structure of Scientology, etc. He explains there are two different shifts of Scientology operating out of the same building in SF, and treated almost as separate organizations; the day shift, is called San Francisco Day. The second shift is called San Francisco Foundation. Kyro took the position of Executive Director of San Francisco Day, and Jim Fitzgerald is the Executive Director of San Francisco Foundation. San Francisco Day is the more senior organization, it has more staff/publicity/bigger stats/more income. This means the head of the San Francisco org, is the leader in that area; that person is now Kyro. In order to become the Executive Director, Kyro completed training in both OCE and EFBC courses; the fully trained Org Executive Course and Flag Executive Briefing Course - which essentially contain every management policy L. Ron Hubbard wrote on how to run an organization.

Not being "ACCEPTED" by the skate community doggie... Jeff was lowkey pissed Aaron didnt answer his last scientology question huh?
@curs33838 ай бұрын
I couldn’t help but notice how they give Aaron a compliment or praise on something he’s done for the skating community, and instead of thanking them he just agrees with them and continues praising himself essentially. Along with dodging all the Scientology questions, I think this video shows a lot of his true colors.

if there is a part 2, you should ask him how each braille member got on the channel, like how did he find them, where they came from etc. that interests me

You could def feel the tension in the room. Good on Jeff for continuing to push even when it was obvious Aaron didn’t wanna answer….

I feel like the evolution of Braille was when the guys were going on the road and getting into the streets.. I get that it's easier to film at home base, but those videos were dope. Would love to see more of that and it eventually bringing about some street parts.

Hilarious to see Jeff say Aaron doesn’t fit on real because of his style of skating (which is fine) but not have the self perception to understand that most of his “haters” specifically mention his style… because it matters. Both are still great skaters.
@ItsM3Tyler9 ай бұрын
He was more so speaking about type of skater like manual skater vs gap skater
@jeffwonsong9 ай бұрын
I didnt say anything was wrong his style. I was just saying he didnt necessarily fit Real and he was literally agreeing with me. Like word for word. Haha
@SubjectDredd9 ай бұрын
@@jeffwonsong I know bro that’s why I literally said “(which is fine)” For example I think Neen Williams heel flip down that stair set is harder than you doing a triple kick flip down a stair set. Because of the style Neen put into that one trick vs yours don’t look nearly as pretty. That’s the main thing your “haters” say about you. Again you’re still a great skater, but just like how Aaron was obviously not a fit for the real team, doesn’t make him a bad skater but yes his whole shtick is manuals. Yours are triple flips that lack “style”.

@@SubjectDredd right and I said “no discredit to your skating” meaning I still think hes a good skater, just his type of skating doesn’t fit the genre of the Real team. I never said if it was worse or better.

I feel the same way about scientologists that I do about Mormons; there are decent people in both--but both 'religions' have their sketchy people who are willing to cross boundaries for their religion. There are horror stories of scientologists stalking, harrassing, coercing into silence, ex-members--and those scientologists make me mad. But Aaron Kyro seems like a decent enough dude, I enjoy his content, and I'm not going to hate on him just cause he's a scientologist. If the religion gets him to cross peoples' boundaries and gets him to act sketchy, then I will judge his actions as not good. But, as of now, I like Aaron and think he seems like a decent enough person.

There teachers who do bad shit: Priests, janitors, garbage men, IT people, gas station employees, bank tellers. There are shitty people in all walks of life. It’s so stupid that everyone is harping on Kyro about Scientology which doesn’t seem to have anything to do with Braille. Dude clearly loves skateboarding and that’s what his whole company is about

Man, I was stoked to see him asked about scientology, but he definitely needed to be asked about the further cult implications, does he currently donate earnings from Braille to Scientology, does he believe in Xenu? Or did he take a class and never see them again and feels like he's "a scientologist" because he uses their "teachings"?
