My husband shared this on our FB story a hour after it was released. He died in a fatal 4 car accident on 1/14 just a few hours after his post. We played this at his funeral. There was probably close to 300 people there. I hope they got what these lyrics mean. I know it was a way God spoke to him and he could speak to all the family and friends there that day. This song will forever remind me of the worse day of my life but it will always bring me peace because I know he is at peace in Heaven with God now.

I’m a 36 year old fully disabled combat veteran. I served 7 years from ‘05-‘12. I joined right after high school. I grew up in Boston and knew people who lost loved ones in the attacks of 9/11. I knew the moment I saw the second plane hit that it was a terrorist attack and I would no longer be going to college or trade school after high school. That happened my freshman year and as soon as I graduated in may of ‘05 I left for basic training. I deployed a couple times to combat AOR’s in direct support of OEF and OIF. I have always loved my country. I know we screw up sometimes but it wasn’t until 2020 and the election that I was ever ASHAMED OF MY COUNTRY! That election should’ve never been allowed to be stolen the way it was. I chose to stay the way we’re all born which is at best an Atheist and at worst an Agnostic. I believe EVERYONE has a right to believe whatever they want. I’m also as big of a supporter of President Trump as there is!! I can’t say I am a conservative although I do agree with conservatives on most things. However being an Atheist obviously that puts me at odds with many of the rights stances, but given that I have a functioning brain I obviously couldn’t possibly be a leftist/communist! There is no longer a “democrat” party, it has become the COMMUNIST party and Beijing biden has given the country a SMALL taste of what it would be like under a communist regime. Get used to empty shelves and losing all your rights if you’re stupid enough to support communism. I know you personally are not but there are apparently enough idiots out there that think it’s a viable option despite it NEVER WORKING IN ANY COUNTRY THAT EVER ADOPTED IT!! #TRUMP2024 #ATHEISTVETERAN4TRUMP #FREEDOMOFANDFROMRELIGION

Being a non-believer doesn't waste time. I was raised in church, was active in Youth Group, Youth Choir, was saved and baptized, etc... I've spent alot of my life on my knees asking God for help. Then, after years and years of constant disappointment I gave up. I was 36. Now I'll be 39 in a couple months. I've died twice and I know what's waiting on the other side. Nothing. I hope you keep your faith because it's a true comfort. Once you realize it doesn't make sense, you're going to be as sad as I am. Just remember, atheists don't want to be right, and if we are, noone will ever know. If you're right, you won't have any trouble getting us to apologize. But more than likely, one day we will all just be going along with our life, thinking about some unimportant issue, when suddenly it all just cuts o---

I remember being deployed to combat AOR’s and we’d have discussion about it all the time. About how I could be in some intense situations and not believe in a “god”, sometimes I would just gently remind them that if they had been born in the place we were currently in they’d believe in “Allah” because religion is something that has to be taught and passed down by others and the two biggest factors about who believes in what “god” are where you’re from and what your parents or whoever raises you believes. That’s why they start indoctrination so young before their brains are fully developed, makes them easier to manipulate to put it nicely. Whatever helps people get through life is fine. I just wish they’d keep their beliefs out of laws that affect EVERYONE!!

How very true this song’s lyrics are. Whether they have nothing to say to God because their life is basically good, so they go day after day without Him on their minds and in their hearts at all, or they experience difficulties, maybe terrible difficulties, day after day, they should be giving God thanks, at least, in both cases. One for the blessings of a good life or one for being given opportunities to love Him DESPITE the difficulties. Each of these are so needed on the part of us (we?) humans. Thank You, God! Thank You, Jesus!

I have an all new respect for Aaron Lewis now! I had a Staind CD or two years ago, but much respect on a whole new level to him. He has really been stepping up in the last few years!!!Love it!!!

I saw Stained about 20 years ago. Aaron Lewis was in my state, did a small show at a local ski resort. Charged a whole $5 per ticket. It was a really cool gesture. I loved that band, but, I love this more. Stay true to who you are.

This is beautiful. I have followed you for years. You are a huge inspiration to me and the music I write and sing. It sure seems sometimes we have to go through pain, heartache, lessons and experience to finally be able to silence ourselves enough to listen to what God says. I spent many years trying to hear what I wanted instead of talking to him and things always ended in flames. Once I truly opened my heart my world changed. I let him have the drivers seat There is always a plan ♥️🙏🎶

Not gonna lie this song just made me break down . I've been struggling and just watched this video for the first time . I've been hurting and lost. I've been contemplating life and distraught . I've been on the verge of tears for days and this has brought them out... I'm not sure what I need right now but this has me thinking...
