The Chesapeake Bay tournament is probably my favorite Elite show BASS televised. I go back and watch it a few times every year. Really shows why Aaron is one of the best in the sport. He faced adversity and frustration on that final day but persevered to the very end and came out on top. Wishing Aaron and his family the best during this time.

That event showed his commitment, belief, and sticking to his gut. Also, love that tidbit of "they like it inline or exactly in the middle. I don't care anymore"

That’s my home water and seeing my favorite angler of all time win there, and to get to see him hoist that trophy was something I’ll always remember. Afterwards he took pictures with the fans and signed autographs for a LONG time.

What a tremendous individual with the personality that I and so many more loved. His energy was awesome. I loved the way he would describe in detail what the fish were doing. I personally never met Aaron but I believe I’ll see him in heaven.

A-Mart Forever. Every tourney I ever fish if I start to get frustrated or something; just gotta think what would Aaron do in this situation. Just how he found wonder and joy in everything even during bad tourneys, never let people with bad attitudes affect him, never had a bad attitude or unkind word about anyone…..never “big timed” anyone….we can all learn from him and strive to be like him.

I agree with Greg Blanchard, Aaron Martens seemed to have that special thing when it comes to perseverance and still being able to articulate the right amount of effort and passion, even when thing's where not going his way. Sincerely "The Dayton Metro Smallmouth Slayer"🙏💯🤺🔥💪🙌👋💙🎣🐟. Rip HOG SNATCHER
