Aaron Parks je významnou postavou současné newyorské scény. Začal se prosazovat na přelomu tisíciletí a v nultých letech na sebe upozornil především jako sideman Terence Blancharda. Skutečného úspěchu dosáhl díky svému pátému albu Invisible Cinema z roku 2008, vydanému u prestižní společnosti Blue Note. Jeho posledním projektem je album Little Big, které představuje záměrný návrat k elektrickému zvuku Invisible Cinema.
