I like Robert's comment; it seems like he is missing Aaron more than he thought he would. If he got locked up, he might get in the same room as Aaron, so that way they will still be together and got each other's backs.

Robert is being so thoughtful to Aaron just because he does not want things to escalate like the last time he visited. I think Jason is just jealous of Aaron being with his "cousin" (in fact his unofficial husband).
