I agree he needs to be in zach’s ear (essentially calling the plays, audibles and telling him where to throw it to. Everything he did for that Malik Taylor touchdown in Preseason) As a jets fan I cant sit and watch Zach make his own decisions much longer and the coordinators and coaches be ok with it with how much time he doesn’t have in the pocket. They either need someone competent in his ear for the rest of the season (Not Trevor Siemian wtf) or they need to cut their losses, get rid of him post season for picks or something and get a massive OL in the draft or find another QB worth it after Rodgers next season. I can only pray he stays intact and is the same player.

Namath played 140 games was hurt most his career, 12 yrs 27k yrds in pre modern football. Rodger has played the last 18 all in the modern era has 59k yrds. Namath has been living off a win that happened over a half century ago.

Jets 2 out of their next 3 games are against the Chiefs and Eagles, they aren't winning either of those games. The other game is against the Broncos who could be a win, but at best the Jets will be 2-4 going into their bye week. If the Jets do sign a different QB they should definitely try to do it during the bye week.

Reminds me of Andrew Walters, former Raiders QB gets thrown to the wolves in 2006. That was the 2-14 Raiders led by Art Shell and his BnB OC. In 8 starts Walters went 2 - 6. He was sacked an average of 5.75 times per game. He threw 3 tds and 13 ints. Fans were calling him a bust. How can you evaluate a QB who has someone in his face every snap. There was even a music video on youtube called All Kinds Of Time, featuring Andrew Walters. The following year he threw a handful of passes, during JaMarcus Russell's rookie year. The year after that he started 1 game. He was sacked another 5 times while adding 3 more picks. A career total of 51 sacks, 3 tds and 16 ints. And a 2-7 record. But luckily we still had JaMarcus. He was only sacked 70 times in 25 career starts. Correction : Walters rookie year was 2005 but saw no playing time. In 2009 He was on the Patriots Practice Squad before being released. He set a few school passing records and a couple of Pac 10 records including most Tds ( 85).
