Aaron's bike keeps on breaking and I think we know why now

Man we tired of working on aaron's bike lol this thang is a piece of doodoo, but hopefully its not a turd after this lol Honestly, once we get this situated, its going to be a solid bike!

that generation of ZX6R had a recall on the stator, and also commonly the rectifier would go bad ass well. I've also seen alot of people speak on replacing the battery multiple times as well. I had a 08 ZX6R and i did have to replace the stator but the dealer did it. Now about 3 months later, my bike wouldn't charge anymore and i was having startup issues. I inspected the wiring everywhere i could and i found that some of the wiring between the stator and rectifier had melted/shorted and were now touching each other and parts of the frame. Just figured i'd holler, it may help.

stator and rectifier should be replaced together, at first the rectifier seems ok but it doesn't work right when hot

Never had any problems out of my Kawi’s, ever. The K6 GSXR I had though, 2 stators and voltage regulators later, a custom bracket I built to replace the location of the voltage regulator, fixed the issue. The 1000’s were towards the rear of the bike and didn’t have that issue.

OEM stator and rectifier. Inspect the harness for shorts. Take a good look at the stator plug to harness for melted wires.

Do the mosfet regular conversion . Run the -/+ from the rectifier straight to the battery. The negative and positive that lead to the battery is bad or grounding out.

A very common issue with these ‘05-‘06s is the ECU overheats. To fix that you can buy a used ‘06 ECU (the ‘06s tend to be a little better) and relocate it to under the seat, then heat wrap and shield the shit out of the exhaust pipes.
