I am new to this channel (just subscribed), but I have followed the CoS for about 10 years. It occurs to me that, if you totally remove the Scientology factor, we are witnessing, in real time, how people interact in groups and how very quickly even organizations or movements with good intentions, can quickly unravel as individuals put their own interests (financial, need for adulation, need to control others, etc.) before the needs of the group and the actual cause they claim to espouse.

This is insightful. But when you add Scientology back in to that equation, you have a whole group of people who have been deeply trained and indoctrinated in exactly the wrong methods to deal with any of the problems you’re pointing to. It’s as though they have been uniquely trained in how to do most stuff in the worst way.

I do study these more deeply but its a deep question if all movements "degenerate" into scams or just self-interested groups. Hard to know. Someone posted a nice quote of how good causes become bad after some time - the quote was slightly wrong but good observation I'm working on some real data and theories - its hard to give generalizations too many different possibilities but in this case yes a huge chunk of antiscientology has turned into just a group hustle But do all groups become mobs? BIG questions... working on it thanks on the feedback

Another good post Thomas. I watched this silly post of Aaron and his 'Fluffy' her words, side kick Nora. It was comical indeed. I don't understand why he won't shut up about this. I would be embarrassed by the ordeal. It does seem odd that this Stephani gal is going around calling people, but she's on a mission. The bottom line is, Aaron started this whole fiasco in the first place. He goes to LA to watch the Masterson trial, meets a strange woman, invites her back to his hotel room for some adult romper room fun and she gets a little to attached to egg head. Shades of 'Fatal Attraction' happening. He needs to take responsibility for his part in all this. I even posted my sentiments in the comment section. I know he saw it because he had a shocked look on his face. That someone would actually call out is bullshit.. His little crying fits are so cringe!!!

I watched the referenced ASL video. I shouldn't have, but I did. Nora added exactly nothing to the video and, in fact, subtracted from it. Nora joined the video, apparently at ASL's request, to help ASL past a difficult emotional moment. OK. But the video would have been better and shorter without Nora's frequent, annoying, labored, and pointless interjections to mansplain what ASL had already said in a much more succinct way.

So Stephanie isn’t attacking anyone? She attacking people just because they are Aaron’s friends. There are two sides to every story actually there are three. His hers and in between them there’s the truth. She brought up his brother and has brought his wife and children into the issues. But he’s attacking her. You don’t like Aaron fine but she should not have brought his family into this. His brother is dead and there’s absolutely no reason to bring him up. Aaron’s wife and children don’t want to be in the spotlight and shouldn’t be included in posts by someone who has a beef with Aaron. You backing Steph up just looks bad.
