I lost it at "I fold like a cheap thing that folds really easily." Then Conan: "Man, no one writes like you, Sorkin!" I'm dead.

“I fold like a cheap thing that folds really easily” is totally something that Aaron Sorkin would write.

He is a pretty smart funny guy. He used a very good example of his "bad" argument skills to make his point. I'd fold like a cheap thing that... you know... that folds really easy

“You can’t handle the truth! Son we live in a world with walls and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns, . Who’s gonna do it? You? You Weinberg?” “If your clients want to stand on my shoulders and call themselves tall they have the right to do so but there’s no requierement that I have to hear people lie.” “I fold like a cheap thing that folds easily” One of these is not like the others.

Sorkin is a genius. I have always appreciated the writers more than the dirctors. because thy create every thing in their minds (charecters andn events, dialogue,...everything) and then the directors get more paid and famous..

+Abdul Salam I used to think that way and be adamant about it, but now I know better. You're missing a big part of the picture. This is how you should treat it: a great director can never be great without a great screenwriter, but a great screenwriter also cannot be great without a great director.
@ABDESSALEM40

+Krishna Chamarti Thank you for replying. i did not mean to say that directors are unimportant or sthg like that, but the writers are the real creators of the movie or TV show.Actually there is nothing to do until the script is ready
@TheDylanHoang
@TheDylanHoang 8 жыл бұрын
+Abdul Salam true but it's up to the directors to execute that vision and translate words into a cohesive visual language while controlling a cast and crew of over 500 people
