Knew y'all would love this one! Aaron Tippin is another one of my favorite artists who arrived in the early 90's. Even back then, when traditional country was hot, Tippin's voice stood out because it was so full of twang. This was actually his very first hit in '91, and I agree that the lesson this song teaches is, unfortunately, lost on a lot of people today. I'd like to suggest listening to some more of his earlier songs like "I Wouldn't Have It Any Other Way," and "My Blue Angel," which I think you'll enjoy, too. For something more fun from him, check out "There Ain't Nothin' Wrong With The Radio."

I love Aaron Tippin’s songs and I used to think he was sooo handsome lol . Being from out in the country in Georgia a lot of deals were made with a handshake and some people around here still make deals like that. A family friend raises hogs and will do one of three things , he will either kill one of his hogs and make batches of sausage ( I’ve helped them many of times ) makes a batch of mild and a batch of hot , (2) kill the hog and you come get it or (3) you buy the live hog. But all of it is on a handshake

Unfortunately the lesson of this song is lost. But it's a great song that speaks for itself. Things will come full circle someday, but whether it's in our lifetime or not I can't say. One of the best things we can do is to teach our children what's right the best that we can, which has fallen by the wayside in the last 50 years or so.

I love this song and this message. So glad you guys reacted to it. Another classic is Joe Diffie "Ships That Don't Come In" and it is another much needed message. What you said about the media is true. There is no unbiased media outlet anymore. Period. Be it CNN or Fox or MSNBC or Uncle Billy Bob's radio station broadcast from his basement and reaches only a half-mile radius. Everyone is biased and meant to get you to focus on issues that don't impact your life to distract you from the issues that do. And I say this as someone who worked as a journalist and was going to have that as my college major, before I had to drop out. But even then, we were taught how to put a spin on a story to get a specific reaction rather than just putting down the facts as they were.

Few country artists came up to Alaska back in the early 90s but I was lucky to have met Aaron back in 1994 when he came up to Anchorage, AK. He was such a kind and humble man. I was 21 years old (grew up without my father) and I had stood there thinking, I'd have loved it if he was my dad. He took a photo with me and I wish I still had it but I think my mom lost it years ago. My favorite song by Aaron Tippin is For You, I Will.

I was taught . You was a extension of your Momma and Dad. If you did something wrong its comes back to them.. That needs to be taught now a days.. Because we didn't want people think bad of our parents. . I was also taught not to start a fight but to finish it if your in the right. If you didn't try . You would get punished when you got home. You only have 1 family. You can't replace them. Unfortunately not all parents don't treat their kids with respect and love.

Another part of the problem in Developed countries is that the youth were taught by media, movies and public school that comfort and self esteem are more important that anything else. Now the media (Grrr Keith is in my head!) treats us like mushrooms and keeps us in the dark and feed us BS! Stay on that soapbox!! More people need to think about American pride and not just personal integrity but thier integrity as Americans. Great reaction. Beautiful dark coloring in that bourbon. After WW2, each succeeding generation has made it "easier" for their children so that they don't have to have it as hard as they did. This has led us to the point we are at today. It is a cumulative effect that we have reached.

That's true to a point. Plenty farmers, ranchers and other 'country' folk who would tell you that their children work just as hard at working the land as they did. It's true my son had it easier than I did, but I still taught him to earn his money. Save for what he wants. But yeah, I think it all started with the 'participation prize', instead of earning a trophy/ribbon. I can see it in elementary school, but after that... nope earn the spot on the team, earn the 1st place title. .. The I'm entitled to... I frimly believe started there.

In 1979 full of my senior year we had to choose class motto and our class motto was you got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything. First time I really remember hearing that. But you're right integrity matters honesty matters Essex matter morality matters. And your further right about the media the last really great neutral newsmen in this world was Walter Cronkite. He wasn't about sensationalizing he was about just telling you the facts and letting you figure it out for yourself. Which is incredibly lacking in today's media why I'm pretty picky about what little bits I watch and because I'm not real thrilled with what's going on in our world today. This is a fantastic song to point that out. Goes without saying I love girls reaction as always.
