I think marriage is great! My husband and I make 19 years this August and yes we've had our ups and downs, but we have made it work. I honestly believe that having good communication, being transparent with one another, and willing to work through things are key to a happy life together. I also believe that having a relationship with God helps too. I think you 2 are so adorable and already have a good foundation for a long lasting marriage. I get to spend time with my husband and best friend ❤️ the first year was definitely different because of the habits we’ve formed as single people and there were disagreements and arguments but we’ve gotten through it. my parter and I (5years together, 25 and 28yo, not married), lived in a student studio apartment/dorm room built for 1 person for 18months during covid. Basically just a queen bed, one study desk that we shared, and a small kitchenette in the one tiny space... When your partner is your best friend then you just make it work. Oh and he loves playing video games with his friends and would prefer playing into the night. Where as, I need my quiet zen time with peaceful lofi music and as little tech as possible lol So, it was definitely a good opportunity to strengthen our communication and conflict resolution to figure out how we can integrate our individual preferences into this tiny space. There was a lot of crying and frustration before we learned how to balance it all but lessons about each other and our relationship we probably would have never had the opportunity to strengthen/learn about without living in such a small space. You just get through the tough times because you both want to make it work/grow together, and it's your best friend! Of course living in the one tiny room for so long isn't ideal, everyone likes their space, but I am glad we had the opportunity to experience it. We are stronger and closer because of it :) Overall, the good 100% outweighs the hard times, but even then we always feel closer after communicating post-conflict/disagreement. So pretty much everything is a win-win for us anyway hahaha
