Off the bat it's clear how much time Kosi puts into her footwork and house foundation. To be able to sync up with the timing and groove of the track that quickly and with those movement choices shows so much maturity and skill within her dance. I don't know how you don't appreciate everything she does from 3:40 to 4:20. To move at that consistent pace with the ability to seamlessly variate upon your movements, express the layers of the track, choose natural moments to accent the music, and incorporate the upper and lower body for that amount of time 🔥. Then to slow it down, but still maintain a high level of musicality and control of pace while getting your legs back, so that when you finish off the track with another 20 seconds of gas the whole round feels complete. That round was ridiculous on so many levels. She was so technically sound with her movement, but more importantly the way she went about the round was so smart. Which can be said not only about this round, but the rest of the rounds in this video from both of them. Then after all that we get Brui5er 🤦🏿♂. Everything he does is so purposeful and locked into the music. The build ups, the concepts, the control, speed changes, textures. Dude has such a deep bag that he can just transition from move to move, concept to concept, and in and out of pockets as he chooses. It’s really crazy how not a single movement is wasted. It’s not a direct comparison, but there are similarities you can find in elements of his dance that you see in others that have that “infinite freestyle” ability. Dudes like Alex, Waydi, Paradox, etc. One of the main things that sticks out to me is that none of them really telegraph anything unless they mean to. I don’t know what to call it. It’s kind of like the misdirection magicians do to pull a trick off on you. Like at 6:46 right? He just got done doing a whole shoulder to legs to hips concept. Then immediately he moved onto his next pocket with the footwork and even though he’s just cross stepping he has you locked in wondering what’s coming next. When 6:52 comes and the build up pays off it doesn’t feel like he’s just showing you a part of the track you already know is coming. He had you focused on a whole nother part then executed his move so precisely that it almost feels like it came out of nowhere. The fact he can do that throughout his rounds consistently is next level. The subtleties are ridiculous too. Like at 7:00 when he comes up, the head roll he does, no beginner is just doing that. It’s a tiny thing, but it just shows how comfortable and creative his training allows his freestyle to be. Imma leave it at this, and just watch this video again. Not tryna glaze or nothin. I’m sure plenty of people see the same thing as well. I’m just trying to learn and appreciate, and I had time so I wanted to leave a longer response. I know how long I’ve been watching this stuff and there isn’t a space like this anywhere, so I feel like the rounds they put out and the analysis you add (If ya’ll don’t watch the whole vid at least hear what doc has to say at 28:35 and 29:50) is worth taking a little time to share some thoughts on. Appreciate the vids Doc.

Nailed it brother, to add 7:50 - 8:06 i believe is what the doc was referring to. When Brui5er kept the circular pocket while keeping the main tempo/count with his leg stepping - and on top of that, stacking his entire get off with hits, arm patterns and placements, to end off the section with a saucy af chest bang on his hips. And thank you doc for the gems - especially on how we can apply them to our own dance / training 🙏 Please break it down for us more often, adds so much more tbh and it’s what makes this channel stand out for me, way above any Les Twins dance reactor 😂

i always thought bad of myself (not really) for never understanding some of the work of the greatest names in dancing, i always liked stuff, like kosi and at the end, that kinda has no genre, also bruiser has something i never really saw in krump witch is smoothness/chillness instead of 100% agression, gold moment at the end that almost seems staged like a dream, but anyway its good to hear that i understand this underrated stuff and i see that some legends are overrated
