Ark: How To Build A Giga Pen

This is my latest How To Build video it is a detailed tutorial for large Giga pen it has a modular design so can be scaled up by adding extra pens on either side and increasing the size of the outer walls. As with the wyvern pen... Perhaps an addendum showing HOW to get them in and out. Can't ride em in, no clearance to dismount. Can't follow you, they need to back in.

I just finished this build on my solo world.. dear god, it took me 5 days to grind the resources and build everything. Had to do some modifications, cause I built it on an ocean platform, but amazing work my friend! Thanks so much for the guide!!!

Wow, that looks fantastic! Happy to see the final product after having a sneak-peak in the live-stream. It's sad, that Ark gets to it's performance limit so easy when make big builds. I would love to have a huge base with all kinds of pens for every different application and animal. However, very very nice industrial-like style on this pen! Love it :)

Your video's help a lot not only for complete builds but inspiration and tips to improve original designs. Being an official PvE player, decay timer is a big factor. I'd really like to see your take on a metal/tek/green house base design. I have been looking at the International Architecture designs as they'd seem to fit that mold best.

Finished it!!!!! I did a mirror of it to make it double size with a "hanger" type in the middle. I also extended it widthwise to house 6 Gigas!!! TYTYTYTYTY...now I gotta find some gigas to put in there lmao!

Very nice. I would have used foundations on bottom with a fence foundation to snap behemoth gate in place, but your method works too.

I like the look of this. Only thing i'd change is putting doors on the back as well so you can walk them in and close the door behind them instead of trying to reverse them in as giga's arent exactly ballerina's

good building,maybe a bit excessive and part count heavy for what it is,with little other gain than a little flexing.id probably invest that time and material into the base with added defense in mind rather that waste it on a pen to hold gigas.

Only problem with this is why use wood fence foundations? May as well use metal. Decay timer is longer. Shame if they decayed and broke all the pillars if not half the base

I thought the same thing about the wooden fence foundations, except I was thinking that even a trike could take out all those pillars by destroying the fence foundations. Makes no sense, shoulda used metal. It is an awesome build tho.

I think the large stone walls on PC have changed the model to be solid on both sides with no wood planks. It's throwing me off a bit...

im currently playing ark in 2024 but i think they made the large stone walls have only stone on both sides, and doesnt have the wood patterns on them.

building your designs on official servers is a Pain with all the snap points that fail and end up with cracks and holes all over the place besides that i think you design them and sing " i believe they can fly" for sure lol now i have a huge 18x9 box yeah square box with two huge gates at each end how can i change that so it doesnt look like a huge box? wonder if you can redesign a base or if that is too hard for you or not
