Aaron is my fave. I broke both of my wrists playing football in h.s. I stopped practicing for years. I started back playing in March. I couldn't even hold the sticks for an entire two minutes of playing. Now, I can play nearly 15 minutes straight none stop. I'm growing!

The virtuousity is one thing - but his BEAT really gets me. The way the snare falls, it's perfect without sounding like an machine. Actually, Aaron is the first drummer in years that fascinates me.

And all this came from Dave Weckl's triplet chain? Musical evolution in action! This hard and funky linear style is just a great take on how to play a drum kit! The Gospel style is just awesome. It's technical, but man it's a joy to watch and listen to.

Aaron you're a great drummer, dude. What cymbals would you recommend for a church drummer like myself? We play a lot of latin music, and also alternative. We're starting to play some gospel as well. I've been using a meinl 16in crash, and meinl 20in ride, as well as an 8in splash. It's not bad, but very beginner indeed. Been playing for a while..actually most of my life, but the church cant really afford anything too fancy. I'll keep the meinls up, though. Just wanna know what's a good addition.
