Le Male, to me, is as a solid a choice as there is when you want a quality clean smell. Many hours later when it is just a skin-scent, I'll still get compliments if someone's close enough.

If you put a light layer of scent free skin moisturizer over the spots you spray once and then spray once again, you get good projection longer and even more longevity.

Le Male was my first fragrance in my early 20s and it was such a great scent. Some girls would go wild over the smell...literally act a bit weird...like an animal on heat...beast...you get the idea lol.

Probably my all time favorite. You hit the nail on the head with ceramic musky base. That is exactly my favorite part of the fragrance. Clean crisp barbershop laundry.

It would be SO nice to see any of your perfumes back in stock. We listen to what you're saying about perfumes and watch your videos all the time but are not able to buy ANY of your creations since everything is always sold out. This is a great fragrance. I’m late to the party considering I just picked this up a couple weeks ago for the first time but applying this after a clean shave and a musk aftershave is fantaaaaastic. I love it. Aaron I’m glad you like this, also. I was a bit hesitant on it considering it’s somewhat dated, but it smells timeless to me. Very fresh and smooth with a slight bit of sweetness added for that sexiness lol. I find it very versatile and suitable for me so I’m happy with it. Cheers!

It was much more fabulous 10 years ago, it lingered around more . I still wear it, I could be home alone or at work and it smells clean and unique.

Great review as usual Aaron however I would love if you would give the fragrances a full wearing so that u can comment more comprehensively on the dry downs....as in the scent character after at least 2 hours on the skin. Given that that is the longest lasting...and for me the most important and often the best part of the scent profile of many fragrances, your expert opinion on the dry down into the late dry down would be greatly appreciated.

One of my personal loves. As I am a fan of fougere perfumery. It is complex, powdery sweet own refreshing nuances. That's an artistry which brought a revolution into masculine perfumery in 90xx. I receive cinnamon notes which play amazingly with lavender and vanilla, this cardamon aspect is going deep through the fragrance, the journey starts with mint blast. I believe tonka bean and sandalwood molecules are here to smooth the olfactive profile, the give that creamy luxury shaving cream barbershop effect. I can contemplate on this a lot, because it is truly phenomenal and timeless.

I never smelt the vintage formulation that lasted 48 hours but current formulation still smells divine and lasts a solid 4-6 hours

One of my good friend used to wear this, but I didn't really like it, now about 12 years later I bought one and I absolutely adore it, lasts easy 8hrs on skin and days on clothing.

I bought the DUA fragrances clone of Le Male which is based on the original 93 version, and it is atomic bomb strong the Patchouli slaps you in the face it's earthy, dark, bold and intense. After about 45 to a hour the Patchouli settles down and it's layed down on a warm slightly sweet and spicy base it's just awesome in my opinion and last forever you can still smell it 48 hours later on a jacket or shirt.

I love Le Male, this is the fragrance that I use when I work at home, it's kind of like my guilty pleasure hahah. I don't have the confidence to wear this outside, but I love the sweet vanilla smell like the barbershop. It's just so calming and give me a boost in focus.

I always spray two on clothes the night before I wear and do 3 sprays (shoulders and one in the crevice in arm). Very beautiful smell it’s a masterpiece to me as someone in a plain Midwest city of 80k this stands out period.

I used to wear Le Male; as a Gen Xer (or part of "Generation Catalano", anyway) I'm old enough to remember when it was fresh back in the late 90s. It's interesting how Gaultier and Kurkidjian took the traditional fougere backbone, added sweetness and created an iconic 90s scent. The trouble is, it became so ubiquitous in the late 90s / early noughties that every Tom, Dick and Harry wore it. Nowadays, I think it smells dated but still conjures memories of a certain time of life and moment of history.

I have just been back to wearing OG Le Male, And still to this date one of the best fragrances of all time, I have never sampled Ultra Male or La Parfum, But Le Male all the way 👌🏼

I have this fragrance and everyone loves it, I sprayed it on 6:00 this morning, it is now 5:42 in the evening and I'm still getting compliments... But the trick!, I apply a few sprays to my body and a few sprays on my clothes, but then again that's how I wear all my cologne.

This is a sexy fragrance. It has a sort of camp factor to it, which I really enjoy, making it less self-serious and assaulting in its manliness than, say, Sauvage. Performs really well, too!

Le Male-A generation identifies it as a massively projecting clubbing fragrance. ATH- This is a fantastic day to day fragrance I think the reformulations to make it more tame was intentional. It does make for a pretty nice day to day fragrance. Personally, I was rather disappointed. I was a bit surprised that this was the fragrance that all the youtubers are talking about.

@@dennisbank6517 same here, it's just got noticeably weaker over the years. I bought my first bottle in the late nineties and a second one a couple years later and they're strong beyond belief. I noticed the bottle I bought in and 2008 was weaker, and I had to start adding sprays which helped just a little. The bottle I have now is from 2013 and it's a bit above average by today's standards...twenty years ago I would spray it like four hours before I even went out and it projected all night into the next morning.
