I'm not sure what it is about my skin chemistry, but this one projects that fresh twist of citrus/cucumber and the rose/lilac heavily. Yet on the skin, I get this heavy filth accord that jumps just a few inches off. It leads to some incredible nights with my girl, but I haven't heard anyone mention or even seen where that darker filth feel is coming from. Either way, it's safe to wear out and it pulls compliments from my kind of people. Those who are blessed to be different! Always love your reviews Aaron. I love rose smell. Never had a perfume with rose tho, because usually it’s a woman’s frag note. But I found Toy Boy for 40$ on a Black Friday sale, so I blind bought it. It will arrive this week, I’m super excited.
@erikh10415 ай бұрын
I didn’t love the smell initially, as i felt it smelled very «flower/floral watery» for lack of a better word. It smelt very spicy for me in the beginning. But as soon as it dried down on my skin it all came together, the initial spicy smell became softer and it overall became more «neutralized». Smells like flowers in a more masculine way than the typical floral scent women would go for, but it works well and i really enjoy it once it’s dried down properly. For sure a unisex smell once it dries imo. Also, the scent lasts for a hot minute. The scent of flower is still on my skin, even after taking a shower. Incredible value for money based on first impressions.

I couldnt wait for fall so I could wear this. One of my current favorite scents, but not for everyone. You have to be secure in who you are because it definitely could be worn by a woman. My wife wears it as well. She says the cedarwood smells like hamster shavings. This has great projection and massive longevity, and its different. Once again great review! I figured you might appreciate it with the rose and unique aspects.

I tried this one the other day and it's fantastic. I was thinking about how (in my opinion) it's a statement in redefining what 'masculinity' is. They've been very clever with their promotional materials incorporating the leather daddy aesthetic into the Moschino brand, I think they're basically saying "Who are you to say what is and isn't masculine" and the way the fragrance comes across is very confident and deliberate that you can't really argue with that sentiment. I think they've been very successful. Anyway, I enjoyed hearing your updated thoughts on this!
@peterrak95543 жыл бұрын
It’s super feminine there is no denying that!
@thissmellsokay3 жыл бұрын
@@peterrak9554 I'm not so sure, I think currently as in right this moment it could be seen as feminine but I find the whole discussion about what is masculine and what's feminine is defined by perfumery created in the west in the 1970s or if that's not accurate then some other period in time. If you look at the use of rose in Middle Eastern perfumery then that connotation to it being feminine doesn't really stick. It is an interesting discussion, it's just a bit bizarre that certain flowers or other natural scents have connections to certain genders. That's why I think a more varied representation of different people and lifestyles is kind of important to challenge those ideas or learnt responses, it's just more interesting that way at least that's what I think.

I note high the content of Undecavertol and Cashmeran but the green seems to be given by Tagete oil and Cantoxal (Basil and violet) and perhaps a trace of Aldehyde Myrac to strengthen the cucumber. Hi Aaron, sorry a little late with the comments. Great review as always. I like it when you discover a fragrance that pushes the boundaries and sparks your interest. Your review style is fascinating - you objectively critique a fragrance, articulating how well put together it is, despite you not actually particularly liking it. I do love Toy Boy. The rose is strong, unique and definitely a talking point. Whenever I wear this I get wafts off of it, hours into the day. It projects for a long time, settles after an initial aromachemical “scratchy” hit into a real classic, quality masculine fragrance that makes a bold statement. A statement that says a great deal about the strong, characterful person who chooses to wear this, daring to wear something a little different. Thanks as always for your fascinating, informative reviews. I look forward to watching them. Best wishes. Rob.
