I made the same mistake with the cap ! Going back to the perfume, I still cant believe how inexpensive SIGNATURE is for the price. It's sweet, candy like and delicious. I ended getting two other Salvatore fragrances because I was so impressed with Signature.

What I absolutely love about it and what gives it that sense of class and high end designer feel to me is the way that it evolves and the way how its base after the drydown is a very deep, musky almost like sandalwoody wet tobacco kind of smell. I don't see it as being very simple to my untrained nose. It smells to me like it starts with a boozy citrussy sweetness and sort of evolves down into a very mature, deep, rich smell. I'd say the base has an almost leathery kind of tobacco smell, I'm guessing the patchouli my mind is registering as musky leather+tobacco. Idk, I think it's classy and deep. It gets high on the citrussy note for awhile but also has that tobacco-y patchouli+leather note in spades. I'd consider it a safe blind buy for night or fall+winter. Actually this could probably work real well for summer nights.

There's actually a handful of others like that, Man in Black which is my absolute favourite has this weirdly cheap looking and feeling twist cap, and Terre d'Hermes using those nice twist caps. I was so confused by my Terre d'Hermes Vetiver Intense when I first got it thankfully didn't break it for the same reason.

I love this line Salvatore Uomo I have Uomo Classic with the notes of Tiramisù and is gourgeous 💯👌 And Casual Life well, is more summer and fresh with notes of ambroxan and giranium, and i really enjoyed 😁 I miss this in my collection, Signature and I'm excited to try it ☺️

This always gave me like a darker jpg less Male le parfum vibe. Like a smooth gentlemanly sweetness, some spice, and like that slight dustiness that doesn't make it too overbearing.

I think it's hard to explain it to people as someone who's not a pro at it because I like most other people tend to have weird ways of the brain registering things as different smells depending on what and how it's blended. It's kinda like how your human brain and receptor sites do not actually have a physical way to perceive blue+red and so your brain pretty much makes up a completely invented colour that doesn't exist in real life, magenta. Which is why magenta and cyan are so used for either cyberpunk or supernatural "the realm of chaos in the immaterium" kind of themes because neither cyan nor magenta actually exists. My brain interpreted the patchouli and leather of this fragrance as a deep, rich, wet tobacco. It makes it tough reading reviewers sometimes because their brain's interpretation of certain blends can come off as pretty weird in comparison to reading the notes (though in honesty so many colognes end up basically just being like two or three random prominent notes out of 12 so it smells completely different than you imagined, case in point The One Luminous Night mostly smells like dates and not the other ingredients)

Yes I have tried to rip off the atomizer thinking it was just the cap. Worse, I’ve even done it on subsequent applications after I already knew there was no cap, just absentmindedly out of habit. When you’re so used to pulling off the cap you don’t even think about it.

I have to admit to liking this one. For a designer cheapie it's a pretty decent fragrance. My GF thinks the cacao and the coffee in it are amazing. I love the tiramisu scent. 💪🏻🦄👍🏻

I am shocked at how cheap this is. I got a sample and I automatically assumed that it was a probably like $90 to $120 USD but was incredulous to discover it on ebay for a third the cost. It does not smell cheap at all. Frankly in my opinion many Diors smell pretty cheap (also weirdly feminine) and there's certain designer or niche colognes I find a bit overpriced, but every once in awhile you find a really good one that's basically "worth more" to me. Signature is one of them. This really should've cost $70 a bottle. Idk how the ingredients work out and don't have Aaron Hughes' professional artistic nose for it, maybe there's some kind of ultra rare ingredients in some designer or niche scents that price them out, but in terms of pure elegance and quality this hits like a high end designer fragrance.

I love the opening of Uomo Signature. It's the most intoxicating high end Italian leather scent. If you want to know the difference between your run of the mill leather (like the kind you'd find on any black boot) vs fine Italian Leather on an exquisitely hand crafted loafer, compare the leather open of this vs the leather open in Encre Noire.
