Ive been loving your videos. Youve pushed me into changing my turbo core on my Zaf GSI then i'll be attempting stem seals. Love the red SRI's this ones a beast. Cant wait to see what you do with it. I found out that my Zafira is 1 of 9 from the first year they was made left on the road. And its got the rare twin sunroof. I was made up 😁

I got the same MK4 Sri turbo 190. In black. Mine needs so much doing to it. Stem seals need replacing. Past owner has welded every join on exhaust. As well as to roof paint off. Needs new front bumper as side clips broken as well as bonet don't sit all way down. But on good side 90k on it. Vxr turbo. Uprated clutch and 220 remap. But I do need to figour out that traction control delete as I can't do more than 1/4 throttle in 1st 2nd or just wheel spins and front feels like trying to skip down the road

I'd look at the turbo oil line restrictor to be safe, I can imagine the sump paint has probably blocked it up a bit.....maybe 🤷🏻‍♂️better to b safe than sorry

@Mark Singleton Yes i know, I'm not totally stupid, here have a history lesson. Vauxhall and Opel used to be two separate brands. The two were essentially merged in the 1980s, and the same vehicle models sold under either brand. Those made for the UK market were badged as Vauxhalls- using the brand history to appeal to the British buyer- while everywhere else the exact same vehicles were sold as Opels.

After a few summers in a stripped out track car I promised myself to never remove air con 😂 One job I need to do is the oil return gasket on turbo, got a new pipe as it’s the old metal one rather than hose version, is it possible to do without taking the turbo off?

Lovely cars the sri turbo in flame red👌had one myself couple years ago running all vxr upgrades. Seats always let them down not very nice for a special edition. Yours looks immaculate aaron

I have got one that looks very similar to yours. I have an vauxhall astra 2.0 sri 3 door in red 1999 owned it 15 years and there's only about 30 red ones left on the road now in the uk and were only made for 18 months and got replaced by the 2.2. It's totally standard straight and unusually its got mostly opel parts on it from factory when its a badged as a vauxhall and its a factory non ac model which gives it a bit more power from an ac one,so just a handful left in the country with this exact spec i reckon. Its scabbed on the rear arches now but everywhere is straight and solid with no rot underneath. Very nice yours is and i believe only 500 were made as a limited edition and upto about 1000 made with the 2 litre model of mine with 111 left on the road as of 2019 according to howmanyleft.co.uk. I am very likely to sell mine in the summer as im getting a astra h vxr as a bloke is getting a tesla model 3 in the summer and selling his 1 owner low mileage mint vxr to me. I would keep hold of it as it will sure to shoot up in value.

My Sri turbo 190 is getting ready for some love now, I've owned it for 15 yrs and it's never had anything go wrong with it just general wear and tear. I'm getting a bit of smoke now and she's abit clonky on cold start iv noticed this last week untill it warms a bit? 😥

The last sump gasket I did on a leh I used sealant and it leaked just as bad. When you checked for boost leaks, is the throttle body butterfly air tight ?

Yeah use them dry mate, torqued to spec they wont leak. Its almost airtight as its electric the idles controlled by ecu flap adjusts
