RĀMĀYAN KĪ ĀRATĪ 0. आरति श्रीरामायनजी की । कीरति कलित ललित सिया पी की ॥ Sing the aarti of the (glorious) Raamaayan, the beautiful and magnificent hymn in praise of Sita's Lord (husband), Shri Ram. (ĀĪŪṛāīū) 1. गावत ब्रह्मादिक मुनि नारद । बालमीक बिग्यान-बिसारद ॥ सुक सनकादि सेष अरु सारद । बरनि पवनसुत कीरति नीकी ॥ Lord Brahma, the sage Narada, and Vaalmiki (master of spiritual knowledge) all sing of its grandeur. Shuk (son of Vyaas), Sankaadi (the rishi), Shesh (the serpent king), Devi Sarasvati (Shaarada), & the son of the Wind (Hanumaan) all sing of its glory also. 2. गावत बेद पुरान अष्टदस । छहो सास्त्र सब ग्रन्थन को रस ॥ मुनि जन धन संतन को सरबस । सार अंस संमत सबही की ॥ The (four) Vedas, the eighteen Puranas, and the six Shastras all sing the praises of this essence of the scriptures. It is the treasure of all the sages and a saviour to those who read it. All are in one accord about this basic core of the scriptures. 3. गावत संतत संभु भवानी । अरु घटसंभव मुनि बिग्यानी ॥ ब्यास आदि कबिबर्ज बखानी । काकभुसुंडि गरुड के ही की ॥ Lord Shiva; Devi Parvati (Bhavaani); and the jar-born, most wise, & learned sage Agastya all forever sing its praises. Vyaas, the first among poets, narrated all that lay in the hearts of Kaagbhusundi (the crow) and Garud (mount of Lord Vishnu). 4. कलि मल हरनि विषय रस फीकी । सुभग सिंगार मुक्ति जुबती की ॥ दलन रोग भव मूरि अमी की । तात मात सब बिधि तुलसी की ॥ This aarti is the destroyer of all sins in this age of the demon Kali; it is devoid of all base desires and is the delightful ornamentation of the damsel Liberation, herself. Like the life-giving elixir, it is the herb (medicinal plant) which cures all wordly maladies (afflictions) and, indeed, is the very father & mother of Goswami Tulsidas. ----------- SHRĪ RĀMĀYAN-JĪ KĪ SUMIRNĪ - Bālkānd Sorath: (a) Jo sumirata sidhi ho-ī, gana-nāyaka karibar badana. Kara-u anugraha so-ī, buddhi-rāsi subha guna sadana. (b) Mūka ho-ī bāchāl, pangu charhai giribara gahana. Jāsu kripā so dayāl, drava-u sakala kalimala dahana. (ĀĪŪṛāīū) (c) Nīla saroruha syām, taruna aruna bā-rija nayana. Kara-u so mama ura dhām, sadā chīra-sāgara sayana. (d) Kunda indu sama deh, Umā-ramana karunā ayana. Jāhi dīna para neh, kara-u kripā mardana mayana. (e) Bandau` gura-pada kanj, kripā-sindhu nara rūpa Hari. Mahāmoha tama punj, jāsu bachana rabikara nikara.(Sorath 1.1) (a) Bandau' muni-pada kanj, Rām-āyana jehi' nira-mayeu. Sa-khara sukomala manj, dosha rahita dūshana sahita. (b) Bandau` chāri-u bed, bhava bāridhi bohita sarisa. Jinhahi na sapa-nehu khed, baranata Raghubara bisada jasu. (c) Bandau` bidhi-pada renu, bhava-sāgara jehi' kinha jaha'. Santa sudhā sashi dhenu, pragate khala bisha bāruni. (So. 1.14) Bandau` Avadha-bhu-āl, satya prema jehi Rāma-pada. Bichurata dīnadayāl, priya tanu trina iva pari-hareu.(Sorath 1.16) Pranavau` Pavanakumār, khala banapāvaka gyānaghana. Jāsu hridaya āgār, basahi` Rāma sara chāpa dhara.(Sorath 1.17) .
