preparation of sample was according to method but not was according to standard your gay was shaking sieve on wrong way. and your technician did not use hand gloves when you will not use hand gloves during the mixing of sample it will effect on clay and dust value because which clay will stuck on your hands during mixing of sample its mean you lose it any way it was good effort to shear your knowledge

1. It is more appropriate to hand shake according to section 8.4.2 of AASHTO T 176. We should probably make those instructions more standard. A. For mechanical shaking, use a reciprocating motion mechanical shaker as defined in AASHTO T 210, Aggregate Durability Index, which we should probably reference in T176. My second option would be mechanical shaking as defined in AASHTO T 27, Sieve Analysis of Fine and Coarse Aggregates, B. For hand shaking, 8.4.2 should probably reference hand shaking in T27, and delete the rest of 8.4.2. 2. T176 does not require neoprene gloves or plastic type of gloves, which would not be a bad idea. The fudge factor due to rounding would not cause a statistical difference with gloves or not. Typically standard test methods do not allow additions such as gloves. If the test method was changed to require or allow gloves, I would be ok with either though I would prefer it as an option.
