Question 1 a, if the vat threshold was reached 6 months ago. The deadline to register was 30 days later, therefore 5 months ago. Should the £42000 be apportioned for 5 months?

Task 1a was very badly worded. It's so simple and yet the examiners have managed to make it sound ambiguous... Its period of non-registration to me sounded like the whole time, not just after the £85k was reached.
