That depends whether you want a hatchback or a compact SUV. For a hatchback, i20 is way better than an Altroz, engine wise, refinement wise and also in terms of after sales service. And I don’t know if you know this fact or not, but the i20 is more spacious than a Sonet or Venue, in the rear seat. I would suggest, go to the showrooms and check out the space and comfort at the back.

Turbo engine bhi available tha, woh 3 cylinder tha, aur 4 cylinder naturally aspirated bhi available tha. Now the turbo engine only comes in N Line, Pre facelift mein normal i20 mein bhi milta tha, but abhi nai milta. Aapke dost ko kam mileage kyunki it’s AT, automatic mein hamesha manual transmission se 1-2 kmpl mileage kam milta hai. Agar woh manual hota, then city mein around 10-11 kmpl, and highway mein around 15-16 kmpl de deta hai i20. Abhi bhi facelifted i20 mein mileage same hi hai, not much difference

i20 is a way better car than Punch. Abhi aapko 6 airbags standard milta hai, engine refinement is miles ahead of Punch. But jo main cheez hai, woh hai aftersales, jo ki hyundai ka bohot hi accha hai unlike Tata aftersales. So in my opinion i20 is the best. Baleno bhi bohot accha hai, aapka jo price range hai, Baleno Zeta aah jaega, but I guess aap Maruti mein nahi jaana chaahte ho.

I considered baleno, altroz and i20 pehle.. of which i20 sabse zyada thik laga..then i saw venue bhi aa jaiga itna pesa me.. and venue looks like a compact suv.. but less mileage.. so was considering kya karna chahiye.. probably i will go for i20 sports dct

@piyushkanthak1087 I don’t i20 will get 5 stars. Having 6 airbags doesn’t always mean that the car is very very safe. Alot of things depends on the quality of materials used to build the car and also how carefully engineered the Chassis is, so if there’s an impact, how well can the chassis absorb the impact. If I talk about the new Verna, yeah it scored 5 stars, but it was also said that the body was unstable, so if by any chance the speed of impact is more than 64kmph, then I don’t think people inside the Verna will survive. But if I talk about the VW Virtus or the Slavia, their chassis is very well engineered and can take further impact. Right now, companies are playing this 5 star 4 star game as a marketing gimmick, all I would suggest is that if you’re purchasing a car and it’s 5 star for example, then don’t just go with the 5 star stamp, dig a bit deeper and check all the details. So yeah, even if the i20 or the Exter gets 6 airbags, its body strength will still be the same.
