I normally suggest that kids should start learning Abacus at the age of about 7 years or a little later. By this age they are mature enough to know the difference between the school method & abacus method. Hence, they rarely get confused between the two. I have never faced this problem in so many years. Even when kids younger than 7 years start with the Abacus course, the confusion is seen only in a few kids, that too in the initial few weeks. After a few weeks of repeated reminding by teacher & parents, they are easily work with both the different methods properly.
