The Sengol, installed in the Parliament building by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an elaborate ritual last year, has come in the Opposition's crosshairs as it attacks the government on the Constitution and democracy. The Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), constituents of the INDIA bloc, have demanded that Sengol be removed from Parliament.

Sengol belongs to the era of kings. Now that we are a democracy we should remove the sengol and keep the Indian Constitution there. By the way, i'm from Tamilnadu. We would be happy if the sengol is removed as it is a symbol of dictatorship.

Chengol represent the perfect autocracy of Kings over his people. It's better for India to follow the Constitution of India than to worship the Old image of Kingship after whitewashing them

PAST ki baaten chalti rahengi. PRESENT par koi baat na hogi. Dont expect anything positive from Parliament. Congress-men should hit the Streets, meet People Directly. Mass Contat - Mass Mobilisation (never mind if only 20% join you.. and 80% reject your Inclusive world view). Rahul Gandhi is essentially fighting Moonje, Savarkar and Golwalkar, single-handedly. It's a continuum of the old tussle between G.K. Gokhale vs. BG Tilak. Results do not matter, here. The fight does !
