A lot of old characters are only somewhat viable because they’ve been buffed, an example of this is kakashi (peek a boo wasn’t always an extender), so if older characters need buffs there’s clearly powercreep going on, it’s just slower than most roblox games.

nr mostof the old characters get nerfed into oblivion then everybody forgets about nerfs so when they get buffed it seems like powercreeps fault. Rocklee for example. He used to have an auto hit guardbreak that you could follow up with pimary lotus and just by pressing 2 buttons he could get you to ab 30% hp. And gohan used to be able to combo extend with his gutkick.

imo powercreep is still a thing, but just because a character is new doesn't mean theyre an issue (like no one can deny mob isn't still an issue lol) my least favorite thing abt this game though is characters with autocombo moves (moves that m1 for you and always combo extend), i just think its super lame that a lot of newer characters have a massive advantage in m1 battles because they have a hyper armor version of m1s that they can move with at normal speed compared to being slowed on regular m1s -> which imo just kinda ruins some of the combat (like fighting yoruichi is so annoying because its never completely safe to fish for m1s until you know her autocombo is gone, otherwise you risk getting 100-0'd) but thats jus my two cents

Rock Lee is the only character I will disagree. He’s not good for anything. Has a one shot that starts with an m1 and literally nothing else till awk, yet half the roster can do the same. However, the difference is: rock Lee doesn’t have a block break, and again, can only start with m1s, meaning he’s just worse than other characters without debate

Also there is a trick on ichigo to get free dmg without getsuga tensho. Jump twice and stack second jump with lunge and then use multi cut and because you are high in the air you can’t get punished because of lunge endlag and get free dmg from multi cut if your enemy tries to punish you

Nah new characters are definitely busted, specially those in the dbz roster, they made beams stun for some fuckin reason so basically its a free combo starter, blockbreak, and if they dont block it, it will still do a decent damage plus again the stun which makes you invulnerable to combos

I dont think it's power creep I thin it's just that every character that gets released is either EXTREMELY mid or just had the easiest way to kill you ever. Ex 1: Satsuki Kiriyuin: Literally just a reskin of ryuko (but might be better or worse depending on which variant of the kit you like more 🤷‍♂️) Ex 2: Cell(pre nerf btw): Only reason im saying this is because remember when combo blitz did like 70 dmg? Yeah that's why. I am not afraid to hear more examples:)
