so what I've noticed (possibly falsely) is that m1 hitboxes lag behind when you're walking forward (or backward runners have better hitboxes lol). If you don't understand this, look at neji's old rotation hitbox. It clearly lags behind. But with m1s they are actually much more consistent. if you're mid-dash using pre-location buff rotation, it will still lag behind you. If you m1, the hitbox will appear in front of you. The issue is that m1's are not frame 1 so they will not lag behind when you click your mouse but if you're moving after you click your mouse the hitbox won't stay in front of you like normal.

they lag behind automatically because you have ping, if nobody had ping or like 5 ping this wouldn’t be a problem or if the m1s had client sided hitboxes but that would make it really frustrating for the opponent and hitbox extending would be easier

The problem with this tech is that the opponent can immediately block behind or bait your q dash back into m1 by blocking close range

Quick reminder: If you have around 160+ ping m1ing your m1s will get affected by alot, since the hitboxes wont follow the character as intended and will end up being way more inconsistent. Conclusion: If you have over 160 ping, dont rush your enemys like crazy witg fist characters cuz you're in a mad disvantage. If im pretty sure, the only character with fist m1 range that barely gets affected by this is Gaara, so yeah. Btw this goes for every type of m1s except Gaara's.

Also, if you have faster m1 like Aqua buff or aizen awakening you're most likely to win the trade, since your animation happen faster and your hitbox touch them first

That makes sense, in my PS I get 100 ping average and I can land m1s by dashing behind, as soon as I go ranked my ping goes 180 and I can't do that no more Fr feels like I can't land an M1 for my life

Since I use controller dashing behind people sometimes doesn't work. So I usually just m1 then dash, or I try to uptilt/downtilt into an m1. Regardless tho great video.

for the most part, every char apart from extended m1s (stands included, they have normal range on their m1s) have around 1 and 3/4 (might be 1/2 but my testing looks like more than half the sqaure), extended m1s have 2 blocks and rikka 2 blocks and 1/4 (?) his general tips are good though (like attacking from the side, dashing, etc)
