In this #aba #documentary video, we delve into the world of #igbo #craftsmen thriving in #aba #abiastate
Touching their environment, #mode of operations, their wins and their struggles as craftsmen living in Nigeria's most neglected city.
#aba in #abiastate is known for its cottage and small-scale industries, particularly in the production of textiles, garments, and footwear. The city is dominated with a high concentration of #artisans with expertise in the fabrication of belts, shoes, bags, clothing and so on.
#aba is also known for bring the Igbo city with the highest number of traders, business men and women.
This video explains the reason #aba is called the #china of #africa

@@RukkyDINMA sorry oo if I’m asking too much. Pls, do you know where in Aba market they sell those beverages they measure with cups in the market? Those milk, cornflakes, coco pods, Golden morn, bournvita, etc. my younger sister wants to start that business but doesn’t know where to buy it and when she asked the lady selling it she refused to tell her.

Beautiful. This ain't new in Aba.I am only concerned about the their health and safety issues. No hand 🖐 gloves 🧤 for protection, or safety boots 👢. They're using big machines and using their bare hands 👐 to operate it. One mistake and that's the end of the whole fingers/ hands. I hope it doesn't happen. But prevention is better than cure. I will say.

Yes, you have a point. When next I visit. I will try and suggest this to some craftsmen I meet.

I really hope and pray that, they will change their working ⚒ culture. By inculcating Health and safety " as number one priority. I hope they will not say that, they will manage. As Nigerians always says. Or they ain't accustomed to working ⚒ with gloves 🧤.
