Since desert vacuum is a fast multihit move, the downslam effect from redirection stacked and made you stuck in the air until all the counterhits from redirection ended. And because your health was low when the counterhits happened, all the stacked downslam counted as a killing blow and gave you mode gain for dying from each killing blow. Downslam can only stack if you're in the air (according to this vid, your character jumped when using desert vacuum)

basically it got redirected like 1000 times but because downslam deals the damage once you hit the ground everytime he got "killed" again it counted to his awakening bar so he got like 30 deaths

Basically you gain mode every time you die so it counts like you are dying over and over because u are low hp and when it down slams it counts as many deaths

this works cause, desert vacuum is a move that uplits, so when accelerator reflects it, it will downslam instead of uplitting, each time you die on aba it will give you points, since you got dowslammed alot of times, the game will think that you got killed alot of times: each downslam was a death cause you was low

so, if u dir u gain mode bar, when u get downslam on yourself i get dmg after touching ground. basically this downslammed you a lot and when u touched ground each downslam acted as the finishing hit, they hit multiple so it counts as you die multiple times in order receiving mode bars. simple.
