if you land predict as a counter instead of an evasive it starts combos and you can 100-0 off it

Well U forgot predict can be used as a combo starter if you a hit like an M1 or a move

I think it's fine that they nerfed it, 3 extenders in base is corny. They should buff the width of the move or something in exchange though, maybe lower the cooldown too and/or even give it an aimable air variant
