Have always been fascinated by lighthouses. Beautiful.

i just saw a video about the woburn waterworks steam engine that you were in and i'm so glad you have some videos of this, when you mentioned sorta offhand in that video i was absolutely blown away that a non-electric lighthouse still exists and it's so cool to see the fresnel lens. i feel extremely extremely like i just wanna stare at it like that movie, _the lighthouse,_ with that lighthouse in it, where the guy stares at it a bunch. i imagine this is where you got used to the smell of kerosene, yeah?

Truth be told I got used to the smell of kerosene by having it regularly all over the floor from flooding seized machinery with it in order to unseize it.

@@AEKarnes when i was growing up we had this big floor lamp/heater that ran on kerosene that we'd run when our utilities got shut off and i always loved the smell, your channel has me googling around to figure out what the heck that thing was. 😅

Is your job just zooming around the planet to work on steam stuff? That’s wonderful if so!

Is the hissing noise the burner or the movement of the lens on its bearing?
