Nice place, definitely dated. I’m sure the owners partied back in the day and were quite proud of the place. Beautiful property, too. Thanks for sharing ❤

In the upstairs bedroom with the two metal tubes sticking up out of the floor are bolt holes for a power wench. Power wench would be needed for caregivers to help disabled individuals who are heavy to be hoisted up and lifted to their wheelchair safely. The lock on the outside of that bedrooms closet is probably where medical supplies and medications were kept.

Must have been quite a showplace in it's better days. Definitely 60's style throughout. Love the floor pattern downstairs in front of the fireplace. Awesome wine cellar to stock up for 'party central.' Super lakeside view!!

In 1977 in Canada we just called it a "rack". As a teenager I would rack the deep shag rug in my mom's room because walking on it left footprints ! After racking it then it looks smooth and tidy (for about an hour, lol).

I bet they sold the elevator cause it was still good and as you say the house is going to be demolished so why waste it. That paneling brings back memories and the shag carpet. That party room needs a disco ball and turn the records!! Ya baby lol Thanks for another great adventure!

This home was owned by a German lady and perhaps was also lived in by her husband. The husband who pre-deceased the wife by many years was the founder of a company that produced transit buses beginning in the 1970s. Only two years after starting the business, he passed and the company was sold by his estate leaving the wife with a significant amount of money that allowed her to live in this home until 2020 when she passed. I cannot find any records for the home having been sold however some people believe it may have been. All I know is that the couple's only son appears to still be well and alive.

There was a menorah in the garage, so I wonder if they were Holocaust survivors or children of survivors.

Jamie with out those planks as the joke goes that first step is a Dooooozy, A Bazaar place to put a elevator in the througherfare of a Billards room imagine the near accidents with the elevator coming down on peoples heads i assume there owners were at that point of their lives they didn't care where the elevator was placeed i would placed it in the corner of the room. i like that party room im sure it had some really great 60-70s parties and temperatrue controled wine cellar wow serious stuff. thx for the tour.

This is weird but at 915 as you walk in to the water damage mold closet there is a weird whispery voice that goes over yours. I think i hear you breathing while its making noise. Unless thats the closet. But aounds weird.

Very typical 1960s house, party mansion not so much, just about all houses built in the 60s were similar to this. The house I currently live in, is probably similar in square footage.
