"I got a back track waterfall like you wouldn't believe and don't you go chasing it!" Derek never seems to run out of humorous witty things to say which is one of the reasons I love watching his channel. I do the same thing when working alone and I just don't say these things out loud when I'm working alone. I'm sure many of us are but I have to say that he does this so well that he could probably take up doing stand up comedy if he ever gets tired of fixing these old cars. But I doubt that he ever will get tired of that. It's just too embedded in him. Fixing these old cars is just in his blood and who he is and I would love to be able to turn a wrench with him someday. What impresses me so much is that you never curse while working on cars and engines, especially old ones. Anybody who knows what working on cars and engines is means a lot of cursewords when things go wrong (which they often do) like stripped screws, electrical shocks, the occasional insect sting, and the difficulty of trying to figure out how to solve problems that come up out of nowhere. The fact the you keep your cool and you never cuss is (to me) just as impressive as your mechanical knowledge and your awesome videos. Keep up the good work Derek!

Such incredible styling and that motor, crazy how it got resurrected by you in the field like you did with such humor tongue in cheek. Every time you show another vantage of the styling, I just have to remember to calm my pounding heart, the deck lid on the rear there is amazingly unique, obviously including the vents as you mentioned but just its shape is so completely crazy... So while I've never been a big drag racing guy, and probably will skip some of that content, I understand why he wants to do it. Not every video is going to appeal to every subscriber... and I've seen it happen to a lot of youtubers over the years... where they feel they have to chase growth and end up getting burned out doing only the types of content that maximizes views... in the end everybody loses because the creator loses that original passion that got them the following in the first place. If it were me, I'd just make it safe to drive and enjoy, reassemble the interior best possible, clean it up a bit more, and auction it off back to the collector market, that one of a kind rear louvre set up is still desirable to the Buick collector enthusiast, put the money towards more rescues, maybe find a small block donor care with complete drivetrain to swap into the older Buick, cool show and look forwards to more episodes.... Thanks Derek !

Amazing how these old Detroit cars can run after sitting for 1/3 of a century! The thing that gets me is that someone parked it and pretty much gave up on the car, yet it was repaired in one day and driven 100 miles! Great job!
