I can't believe this house hasn't been trashed. It's like an early 70's time capsule. Another good find. Thanks, Werner.

@@JohnShinn1960 I was thinking the same. That paneling needed something like dutchglow to have cleaned it properly. When I build my houses, I may replicate the doors.

Hi, Werner and Heather, the other person I have not met yet. Latvia used to be part of the former USSR on the Baltic Sea as Drew correctly stated and a far distance from Australia. This could be a '50s bungalow in the US, it is the same style except for the laundry in the kitchen. I think most European homes have the washer in the ktchen. A neat explore. Thanks! 👍🤠
@TommyAlanRaines5 ай бұрын
My home town has some like this and Lubbock has a lot of houses like this one.
@wernersadventures83305 ай бұрын
Hey Frank yer had no idea where Latvian was though it was around the Greek islands but now I know. These style homes are flat roofed brick homes from the early 50s cheers my friend glad you enjoyed the video 😊😊

Funny how you call that Mediterranian, In the US & CAN it's Mid Century Modern. For Us Spanish and Mediterranian has terracotta roof tiles and plaster or rock walls. Awesome House! Keep Orange Crushing It, Werner!

Hey Tommy yes I thought this was Mediterranean style house but being a flat roof home gave me the feeling of that style but never mind it was a cool explore neither less, hey Tommy glad you enjoyed this one cheers 😊😊

Fascinating house. Not too long abandoned going by the upc/scan codes on the coke cans and other kitchen products, as well as the spiral light bulbs. Definitely worth investing to restore! Thanks for the looksee.

That is totally different to normal. A house in the burbs surrounded by occupied houses. The inside is crazy retro. Someone is keeping the outside under control. Probably the neighbours so it doesn't impact their houses. The parquet wood effect everywhere is a bit overpowering. And the polystyrene ceiling tiles that got banned in the late 70s because they had no fire retardation. Actually intensify the fire and give off noxious black smoke. The structure looks pretty good. You could bodge it up with a paint job. Or do an internal modernization. And she would be good to go. In Europe the washing machine is mostly in the kitchen. Having a separate laundry room is only in high end houses. We don't have the wash tubs, just the washing machine under the benchtop. Such an interesting trip back in time to totally different tastes than today.
