Abandoned 'Alien Encounter' / 'Stitch's Great Escape' - Walt Disney World - Magic Kingdom - 2018

Sorry for the shaky footage I was very scared filming this video.
'ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter' was a scary attraction at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, Orlando. In 2003 it was reskinned as 'Stitch's Great Escape' an attraction for children, but closed was abandoned in 2018 after being panned with bad reviews. This footage was taken a few months after it had closed.
I have heard it has been demolished since this video was filmed.

They actually are nowadays. This was filmed shortly after it closed but there’s some more modern photos leaked of it being a break room. The first intro room is still somewhat intact with the wall signs still up and exposed. Went to not so scary Halloween last year and they had the door open.

Well.. this is the 2nd best footage we got of stitch’s great escape still no footage of the actual Animatronics :( we need footage of them for proof but this is probably the last best footage we’ve got it’s been 4 years since it closed and has been Demolished.

Theres somthing so unsettling about treading off the beaten patg to a deserted room of machinery. To think of being alone in that room and the ride starts operating for testing or something like that is terrifying. A feeling tgat i feel fnaf never really hit. This is such an incredible piece of footage, thank you. I went to this attraction long ago and I was so fascinated by the complexity and engineering put into Stitch. Your brave exploration was not only nostalgic, but also very satisfying for my curiosity. The only thing I wish is that you could've gotten closer to the stitch animatronic

Funny that there are still the out-of-order caps on at least one of the chairs. The one marked "Temporarily Seized" is a carryover from Alien Encounter. Miss this attraction and Skippy from the preshow. I'm a fan of Disney's animatronics and losing the epic 5 of them(plus the 4 Gun Arms) with the closure of this ride was tragic. Thanks for the video. It's a nostalgia trip.

Being there after Alien, my home attraction, closed I was in there at 3 am in the opposite chamber, I mentioned how I didn’t want Stitch in there and the shoulder restraints moved like something was stepping on them down coming towards us. It was a few months after Alien closed. The stuff we seen over the time there and stories told, you are very right to be scared of the Stitch as that chamber was the most haunted.

I got to experience this ride back in 2007, I was pretty young but still remember the effects of him spitting, the wind from him running around with the speaker effects, and the smell from his burp lol. Glad I still remember it to this day and sad to see it fall into such a state after so many years.

This ride was a part of my childhood and i would sometimes go for that to pass the time since it usually had short waits. I miss this so much. It was a mistake imo to close down something that at least had some historical value to it.

I heard that the og animatronic from alien encounter was put into the Disney storage unit in Anaheim I heard that from one of my family members who worked at Disney world in the early 2000s
