Definitely want to go see some of these places. I've always liked exploring abandoned locations. Must get out there again. Thank you for making these videos. They are inspiring. I'm old enough to appreciate California Caldors, Ames, Bradlees and other once major chain stores

Thanks man, appreciate it! They actually demolished this Ames HQ I believe like in early 2023. I remember all of these stores when I was a kid in the 90's, wish I could go back in time!

WOW. I can't believe this building is still in existence! From the views you were able to get through the windows it is apparent the roof is leaking (water on the floors), there is condensation on the inside of the windows, and no doubt there is mold. It would take a fortune to renovate this place for any future use, and my guess is it will eventually be demolished.

Yeah, they had plans on remodeling the site last year but nothing has happened yet. I wonder why they haven't done anything yet to this place, they should have demolished it by now.

​@@TimurD1905Most likely because so much is bought online. Kmart only has a few stores left now, too. I think four, one in Puerto Rico, one in Florida, none in Connecticut, where I live.

Sweet video my friend. Yeah like everyone is saying the building is finally coming down. At the end of your video there is an abandoned bank on the ames property In the corner. I went here late night 🌙 yesterday got inside and took one of the green ames shopping carts 🛒 home with me.

To be honest I was mad nervous being in there after dark by myself. I was just looking for any of the ames shopping carts to take. They had demolition equipment inside but I didn't explore much.

The property has been fenced off now and have demolished a small part of the building. I have some videos on my KZbin channel on the demolition process If u want to keep updated on the property

Wow! I can not believe the building is still there unoccupied with an Ames cart too. I thought it would have been demolished by now. Looks to be in unsalvagible condition, will have to check it out next time I am in CT.

Yeah, I thought they would have redeveloped the area already since there were plans on doing that but I'm surprised it's still sitting there. Wonder what's the holdup on that

No he closed it down himself, lost interest in filming. I've been messaging him, sucks he doesn't do it anymore but he's doing pretty well now and has other hobbies he likes doing. Whatever makes you happy I guess, do it

I have lived in CT my entire life and only a few miles from this building. It's strange for sure...it's a huge area that could be used and rebuilt but it remains abandoned and useless amongst lots of other business around it. CREEPY!!!!?

It def is creepy, especially when I was heading towards the back of the building. You never know what or who could be at these places, I risk myself when I do this but I do it cause I love what I do and for the viewers

I would be down for that but I think they are starting to tear it down finally. One of my subscribers mentioned that in one of my videos. Plus we would need respirator masks too, they got black mold and condensation inside the building
