ABANDONED ASYLUM | The Sims 4 Speed Build

Wazzup, dolls! Today I got another spooky Sims 4 speed build for y'all. I'm building an abandoned haunted asylum on a 40x30 lot in Forgotten Hollow. NO CC and I'm using mainly just the get together and vampire pack. At the beginning, it was indeed not anyone's intention to make crazy people better, because no one knew how to cure them and how to treat them so... Yeah. But even today, mental patients rooms are pretty blend, not to make them feel worse... If it was possible, they'll sleep in way better places, but simply to avoid suicide attempts. That's the main big reason why those patients do not have anything else than the minimum. Every single object can be used to attempt suicide and the main preoccupation of the nurses and psychiatrists and psychologists etc.. is to keep their patients alive and help them go through their difficulties. Even medicines were never in the rooms with patients because they could overdose themselves. Awesome build by the way !

I don't like hospitals either, they feel like death and loneliness somehow... Reading about old asylums is terrifying too, how could they treat anyone like that?!

This is so haunted an awesome!! I would so love to see just a cute little cabin in the woods. If you do that kind of thing. Like a place that a little old grandma would live in or a little old witch. which ever you prefer.

Hospitals are pretty scary for me too. One time My Mum was in the er because she kept passing out (it turns out it was some kind of ear blockage or something, she was fine) and she was in a little curtained off area with a bed in the middle and i looked up at the light and there was a bit of blood on it, I dont want to know how or why it was there, but they really need to clean the ceiling at that hospital

I feel ya on the lot size. I thought it was at least a 50x50 lot. But I do remember how disappointed I was when the vampire pack first came out. I wanted Dracula's castle to be MASSIVE and didn't have the space to build it...

In a mental hospital, no. You don’t get better. Mental illness doesn’t really go away, so they pump you full of medicine, if you have an episode you go to the isolation room, there’s a medicine window where they’ll call out your name and give your medicine. They have to watch you take it. The bedrooms don’t have anything really. The rooms had two beds with an extra blanket for each, a connected bathroom, two desks with shelves and chairs for the desks. The bathroom was pretty barren too and the mirror wasn’t really a mirror. We could only be in our rooms at a certain time, or use the phones at a certain time. We mostly stayed in the big room where group therapy happened (unless it was the actual therapy rooms). The big room had tvs but they were boxed in. There were like...20 chairs? Maybe? There weren’t couches. There was a fenced area we could outside in but we could only go out if the nurse said we could. There windows that stretched across the wall so it was nice (for me) to just look out and think about things. The cafeteria was only open during breakfast, lunch and dinner and you could only go at your unit’s designated time. Also there were cameras. Camera everywhere except the bathroom. If anybody is genuinely interested in my experience there, feel free to ask anything! I won’t be mad about your curiosity 😂

What's the object scaling mod you used called?

No mod is needed to scale items, it was added in an update (for pc at least not sure about console). To scale up press Shift + ] while holding the item you want scaled and to scale down press Shift + [

No cheat needed but I always have the "bb.moveobjects" cheat enabled to make placement easier! good luck with the build :)
