The site was called Manor Farm it was/is family owned, my parents had a Caravan there for over 20 years & they loved it there was even a famous TV actor who had a van there who was well known for his role in the Professionals, Unfortunately the site owner had the caravan owners by the short & curlys when it came time to move site as their options were to move to the new site just behind the school at a cost of well in excess of £1000 plus increased site fees or basically scrap their caravans unfortunately a lot of the older caravans were too rusty to move so had to be scrapped for a fee I guess a few owners just walked away from their caravans hence a few left behind I know the first one you went into the owners of that van took very good care of it, I believe 2018 was the last year the site was opened, It's really sad to see the site like this as I have spent many a happy weekend there with friends & family, Thanks for the video guys.

That first one must have been a top of the range (and pricy one) to have an actual bath in it. The flooring must have been thicker than standard ones to hold the weight of a filled bath. I'm envious... and sad that it's been abandoned in the first place.

Yes we were quite surprised to see an actual bath! Ive spent alot of my time in the past in many different caravans and so know its very rare to see one. Yes it does seem like quite a waste as from what we could tell other than the fact that they were abit dated, there really didn't appear to be much wrong with them, well before they were abandoned and trashed by vandals anyway.. although I think the scrap metal dealers were quite happy with the decision, lol.

I actually just went holiday there funny enough and I explored it I was sad when me and my dad saw it we explored it around in the middle of August 3 weeks before this video was uploaded,and when we stayed there we stayed at the park where the new one is and we talked to the lady owner and she said that she had owning the one in this video for 50 year's! and she could remember the land when there wasn't the erosion .so when we went to explore it there was about 10 caravans at the time. It was abandoned last winter and the lady said that they might clean it all up before the caravans end up in the sea and cause pollution. Btw if you want to see when they were a normal campsite look on Google maps and there is also a KZbin video of someone that was staying he drove #happisburgh keep scrolling down you might see some interesting videos. Hope I told you most of the history behind this. Reply if you have any questions.🙂

I was gobsmacked that no barrier was placed about 10 metres back from where the road had dropped into the sea. the owner of the site should have been made to remove all remaining structures and not leave them to rot and rust in the elements. They are a pretty ugly eyesore.
@ExploringWithEmAndStu2 жыл бұрын
When we visited the site they were in the middle of scraping all the remaining caravans that hadn't moved to their new location further back from the cliffs, I believe that within a couple of weeks of us filming this the site was completely cleared. I'd imagine more of the cliff and road has been lost to the sea by now, such a shame the amount of sea erosion happening along this stretch of Norfolk 😞
@katbar60662 жыл бұрын
@@ExploringWithEmAndStu Great to hear the site was cleared up. I know a bit about the terrible erosion over there. My grandparents had a house in Yorkshire in the 60's fortunately sold it and by the end of the 70's it was gone and I think it was 3 street rows back from the Cliffs and then a good 100 metres or so of vegetation with a walking track.
