Played that golf course many times: Emerald River. It was a nice and very challenging golf course, especially from the tips. I was sad to see it go.

ripley1423 I agree.

I don't know the square footage, but what you see there is a project that is at most 15% complete in terms of overall construction. The cost of building the golf course was entirely wasted. When the operator's lease expired, they wanted the owner to spend $5 million on course upgrades. The collapse of the junk bond market in 1990 killed the project.

I'm a maintenance manager at a above ground quarry and I would not let my mechanic's up on that structure for a dozen safety reasons. Is money more important then life ? The shit people do and end up dying for what afterwards is seen as silly and why did they do that. Example.. Kid walking looking at smart phone and falls through hole in floor, Father says while crying " I told him over and over to watch out for the holes. This video should be titled " What not to do if you find an abandoned building"

@troyshull97787 жыл бұрын
I really don't know of anymore in Laughlin, but you can go down to Oatman. Stay away from the tourist stuff and head north on the two lane that wines up the canyon, there are some cool old mine sites. (Be Careful) There's Chloride, where I spent many a summer, again stay clear of the tourist stuff, get off the side streets and just check out the history. My grandmother was the post master there and my grandpa worked in a lot of the mines in the area. Have fun be safe.

If vegas hotels had honest names it would be the Millions lost, the 'You get lost', 'life savings lost' 'dignity lost' etc. I had no idea about this place, how far out of vegas is it? I visit vegas for work every year, and as I have been so may times, I am always looking for new interesting things to do.
