Abandoned Chevron - Aledo, TX. This is an old and long abandoned station in which it shows based on decay and vandalism. As for why and when it closed, it was difficult to find info. Either way this is not exactly the best place to explore. The Chevron has seen betters days. This place will need some tlc if it were to reopen.

There used to be a "Drivers Dinner" very close by. I used to stop and eat there when driving in to visit my Aunt and her husband who lived in Aledo, TX. I have fond memories of where you were filming from back in the day. Aledo, Weatherford and Benbrook have changed so much in the past 60 years. My grandfather was the ranch foreman at the Walsh Ranch in Aledo which is now a subdivision of the wealthy who for the most part are escaping from Ft. Worth.

That Chevron signage came out around 05, or 06. I helped "refresh" Chevron station images at that time. The gas dispensers, and canopy also got updated graphics at that time. This is another one I've wanted to check out, but never have time. If you see Chevron promotions still on the pumps, like on pump 5/6, they usually have the dates when the promotion ran. That would be a good clue as to when it closed. Thanks for this video!

Used to stop there all the time years ago! That open window on the side WAS a drive thru window so you didn't have to get out of your car for cigs, drinks, etc!

Hope you will come to Enid Oaklahoma and video the Oakwood mall a very Dead Mall , and an a closed Pizza Hut in the mall parking lot , and across the street a closed United supermarket and half of a closed K Mart , and a few blocks west a closed Golden Coral and a bit more west by Walmart a closed Wendy's that moved to a new location

@Amber5 _ 2014 no a few weeks like 2 i messed up they got like other 50 videos they hadn't posted yet i think when they were in texas most of the things they filmed in the DFW Dallas Fort Worth area been closed for atleast 5-10 years they did for example the Haltom City Kmart that closed in 2002-2003 bankruptcy.
