Abandoned Derelict 1900s Pottery Factory With Intriguing Machinery Left To Ruin

Here I am at an abandoned derelict pottery factory near Oswaldtwistle. Built around the 1900s and in operation up until 2010 when the doors closed for good. The area it was built on is rich in clay and they actually mined it and then processed it ready for the potters in the factory. They also made their own supply of bricks for maintaining the building and in the early years there was a steam powered engine there to power the place which unfortunately isn't there to see. What a fantastic place to visit with a very relaxed atmosphere and a glimpse of industrial days gone by. This place made a big impression on me and a very enjoyable one at that, so much so that exploring here might even be at the top of my list ! Happy days.
