I love the color tiles in the bathroom! I believe that Singer machine is a Singer Little! I have only seen two of them! True sewers look for them, even in a state of disrepair! If this is one, and with a case, it is a wonderful find! It’s a shame it is left there!

Was quite surprised how the downstairs was cleaner than the upstairs. The thought of how much they left behind, what were they in such a hurry for? Thank you for the video, is always interesting.

I'm a Community Driver and I see this a lot. It's a typical modest Scottish home once occupied by an elderly person who has gone to hospital or died. Unfortunately these houses are damp, cold, badly ventilated, full of mice and usually only have storage heaters. I know because we lived in an almost identical house for a while. If there are no relatives or children the place will gradually decay and get vandalised.

Matsui stereos in every Dixon's Currys in 80s early 90s great time came with either a six pack of Vhs tapes or cassettes or a free pair of headphones or if your were rich you could get the Schneider system with the pop out remote compartment

The owner died, didn't they, a single person? Left no relatives behind. You can see artefacts from up to, but not beyond, the early 2000s. Profoundly sad, somehow. Someone's little home. How strange we are.

Is this trespassing people's property or you have the right and permission to enter people's property ? If the home was beautiful inside with very expensive objects would you still enter those private property ? What would happen if the owner was still living in those private property while you are entering those ? Just asking by the way , trying to understand the low and trespassing . Thank you .

It's trespassing, but only a civil offence. So no citizen's arrest possible. If the owner returned, they could use reasonable force to expel you or even do a private prosecution. As long as you haven't damaged anything going in, out or whilst inside, & not stolen anything, the Law wouldn't be interested. Alec's doing a service highlighting the sheer waste of often re-usable accomm , & recording how people lived, & how people seem to exit their lives in a desperate hurry. @@NicolasValentinScotland I think what typically happens is either a property is left insecure (door unlocked or window not fastened) and urbexers, also thieves make their entrance etc, *OR* disreputable & criminal people actually force their way in, rendering a door or window openable to urbexers & also thieves. I've no reason to think Alec & his associates do any "breaking & entering" or steal/damage whilst in. It seems to be a matter of pride for them to just get in & explore. On occasion you might argue it's intruding on others' private grief almost. I still think that wider knowledge of the scale of these derelict/abandoned dwellings is in the public interest

That house is still her home and I wonder what I would do if this type of individual decide to have a little nosy in her home . Homes are not public property . You get this right !

@@NicolasValentinScotland Someone needs to ask permission, & if not, they commit the act of trespass.(not a criminal offence). Assuming no theft or damage involved, you *possibly*, with your mother's consent, can try to evict them, you can call the police to have them removed, or you/your mother might have legal redress through a private prosecution. Whatever you may wish to do to them, you can only use minimum reasonable force to evict them. So the Bronson-style vigilantism is out
