we find the old abandoned Harrison county drag way, find some abandoned gas stations, and go eat at the old,old jail house pizza in Brandenburg Kentucky. it was an amazing day in Frankenstein !!!

I'm a Harrison County Native, and I'm currently attempting to revive this lot. The company that owned the property has since went out of business, and its been abandoned for quite some time. Should be getting back into drivable condition as soon as we can.

I raced there in the late 60's. I remember Walt Derringer, Jackie Meyers, and Jesse Ballew running there. Friday night was Hardinsburg, Saturday night Ohio Valley, then Sunday was either Harrison or Bullit. I drove a 62 Ford 406 4 speed in stock eliminator and a 67 Shelby GT500 and I drove Jimmy Eckert's B/MP 64 Chevelle. Harrison was always a fun place.

@@dlewis1931 No, pretty much stayed at the four tracks I mentioned. Jackie and I did go to Lexington a couple of times and we ran the U.S. Nationals in 72. Thanks for the video, good stuff.

This was an extremely HOT! and very active 1/8th mile drag strip in my day. Officially sanctioned once by the popular IHRA and virtually everyone in a huge radius stretching to Louisville and outer reaches went there at one time or another. A Legendary Track that vanished.
