We gave him the name Big Ben .
A driver saw him and called. We know nothing about his past or his exact age but we believe he is over 18 years old .
He was suffering from leismania, anaplasma , Erlichea , weak heart and arthritis at his back legs .
Today he is eating well and enjoying his safety.
The other dog is Flora which is also an elderly setter .
We are trying to give him a comfortable life and lots of love .

Hello! Yes I want to chime in and say how much I appreciate you, Ermioni and the wonderful vet and anyone else who works with you for this very honorable vocation. It is clear to see that you and the vet have care and feeling for the dogs your help- ypur loving words of kindness to the dogs, your body language- dame for the vet, her little caresses while helping look after the poor senior dog so dehydrated and ill…it is clear to see you both have great care and concern for these innocent dogs. When I was in Athens on a travel, I found myself more interested in giving food water and care to the big dogs like this senior. I wanted so much to bring him to Canada with me but could not find him … I know this beautiful soul will be so happy and at peace with you - and there are many who will still want to give love and care to a beautiful fellow even a senior.🙏🍀🙏🍀My mom and I will contribute to help you - we dont have a lot but we really value what you are doing in your part of the world for the innocent animals. I lost my beloved border collie Jess a few years ago, she was 15 and I miss her every day but take comfort in the fact that she was lucky to have received so much love and care her whole life, hers was a good life full of fun and play. I've saved 3 dogs 🐕 1 cat . 2dog and the 1 cat lived along life now in Heaven. I have 1 dog 🐕 left..this video has me crying. God Bless you fabulous wonderful people

He's old, very weak, alone, helpless and in a street in danger just waiting to die. I can't comprehend that. Imagine your Grandfather dying alone and sick. Along comes our favorite Heroine, Ermioni. You gave him so much love and tenderness. I could fall in love with someone like you but I don't deserve you. You're truly an angel doing God's work. Everyone, at least donate $25. You won't even miss it but someone's got to pay the vet, dog food etc.

A heartfelt thanks to you Ermioni for not turning your back on this beautiful senior gentle giant. I cannot imagine, and cannot bear to think what he's been through, and how disoriented he would have been, dumped in the road, where he could have been knocked down by an oncoming car. He clearly had difficulty walking, so most likely was unable to move far from where he was left. Sadly big dogs like this do suffer arthritis and joint problems, so potencial dog owners need to be mindful of this. If I could afford to have him I would have loved to look after him during his remaining years, but, he is so fortunate that Ermioni almost bumped into him... literally.

What a sweet, gentle dog. If I lived in Greece - or Europe, I would adopt him. He would suit me well. My heart is so sad for him. I would love to brush him and feed him lovely food, give him a very deep soft bed.

Ermioni, you are a true angel. To rescue an older dog during past midnight is hard to do even for professional dog rescuers. And you did it! You tried your best and hardest to save an old friend that most would ignore. They mainly focus on puppies because puppies have more energy and easy to restore their health. Ermioni, you are excellent you rescued animals without discrimination. I bow down to your good deeds!!
