Great job of rescuing that and progressing it along for the customer. Al did a nice job on the facing work. Those bricks look difficult to lay being uneven shapes and sizes. Kudos to the customer for having a bash at it in the first place and having the humility to admit he was out of his depth and ask for help before he got too far in. I'm sure he'll be made up with what you've both done so far.

I know it may not be your concern - and this job was done some time ago - but the boiler flue will be too close to the structure, I think. Looks to me like this customer has not considered all the difficulties. Or he could have got another boiler in a different location, I don't know. My point in making the comment is to anyone planning a job, just consider the boiler flue and the space it needs.

is this going to be a conservatory or an extension for BRegs?
@SteveAndAlexBuild11 ай бұрын
Orangery 🧱👍🏽
@webcore211 ай бұрын
@@SteveAndAlexBuild OK - just checking exemptions from Building Regulations An orangery, like other conservatories, is exempt from building regulation approval when: They’re built at ground level and the area of the floor is less than 30m2. An external quality door is used to separate the orangery from the current property. There should be an independent heating system with separate temperature and controls. The glazing and any fixed electrical installations comply with the requirements of the relevant building regulations. If a proposed orangery doesn’t meet these exemptions, adherence to all necessary building regulations is necessary.
