Our Ford Escort Mk2 rally car build takes another step forward in episode 3. We tackle the rear arch fitting, then get some primer, Gravitex, and the dark grey paint on the underside, inside, engine bay and inside the boot. She's definitely starting to take shape, not long now until she's in colour! Make sure you get subscribing to keep up to date with the build!

I was actually thinking how quick they’re getting it done, especially doing it alongside all the other stuff. For most people a project like this would take a couple of years. For me probably a lifetime! 😅

Depends on what you want from the build I guess. We build them for competition use, so bodywork wise it hasn’t got to be the same level as say a concourse restoration. We know at some point we’ll be fixing them again 😂

I’ve been in trouble more than once drawing (actually pretty good) sketches of racing Escorts on the front of all my school exercise books! (Actually that was in 1970 but I still feel just the same now).. 😁

Another great build lads. As for the rivetting, get yourself a Milwaukee 12v battery one. I got one last year and it's a revolution 😂

It would be awesome if you did do the new stages but you would have pressure on it’s on the 23 march , closed roads rallying , what a build boys these mk2 videos are the best can’t wait to see what colour it’s going 👍🏻👍🏻 keep up the craic ing work

Yeah that might be a bit of a push! She’s in colour and back on her wheels now so keep an eye out for the next video update in a couple of weeks 👍🏽

That’s our more door with the Audi 1.8T engine in. She’s just having a little refurb. Would love to have the time to do more but unfortunately the day jobs get in the way 👎🏼

Be nice if a sponsor would be kind enough to donate an air rivet gun, could even put their name on your race cars etc. That would be rivetting & no havin no crack ing....

I think I'll by a hat from you guys, ( although I'll wear it inside out so no one knows I watch this rubbish) so I can help with profits to fund the cars you guys race. I expect the profit you make out of me will provide you with the very best 'single valve' for inflating those expensive tyres. I've just realised I'm looking at these vids in reverse order, so it just goes to shows you what sort of muppets your attracting to the channel. On a serious note, I've got to run now , have to shave the wife's back, next time.

@@avin_the_crack no worries, I’ll keep tabs on stock. All good 👍lol, I see what you did there. I’ve resorted to one of those sheep shearer’s. She could be a gorilla, although she’s Vegetarian and only eats bananas, so not sure.
