In today's abandoned exploration we head into a home that was abandoned in 2019. The man who lived inside was a head CEO position of a global company, in many ways he worked beside Barack Obama. Inside the house we will find letters from the former president and his family. The former owner of the house moved to America in the 1940s with his wife, a European actress. At 1st they had a hard time adjusting to life in America, but eventually they found their way. We will be investigating the house, finding clues, and figuring out the larger story that needs to be painted for this abandoned home. Everything is left inside the house and upon further exploration we find letters and blog posts describing the downfall of the company, and eventually the downfall of his health.
If you enjoy the video please leave it thumbs up, comment, and consider subscribing for more exploration videos. To be notified when I upload please hit the bell!
Thanks for watching and have a good day!

The home tells the story. He was from the UK with no family in the states to leave the home and its belongings to. Can tell he was elderly from the walker, his clothing kept on the 1st floor and classic elderly hoarding. I’d bet he passed away in the hospital with no last will and testament. He was simply forgotten. Sad.

When looking at the keys in the drawer at the 8min mark there is a business card with a phone number and if you google the phone number its leads to another abandoned place called the Grandview Palace condos in Liberty NY, it used to be called the Brown's Hotel (Catskills) and it burnt in 2012 there are a couple of urbex KZbin vids of Brown's Hotel worth watching.

FYI: The White House Christmas cards aren't that hard to get. All you have to do is send one to the President c/o the White House and you will eventually get one back. I used to do that years ago. They aren't hand signed, any signatures are imprinted on all the cards sent out.

Great episode and find. One note: Those 'letters' from the Obamas aren't personal. They're part of a mailing list to donors who gave over a certain amount. I recognize them because I've seen them both...my dad has them (and more) from where he donated during Obama's first and second term. You'd find the same things from the Bush family to those who contributed to Bush's campaign, etc. Those aren't hand signed...just facsimile (printed) signatures. So the headline suggesting that he was an employee of the White House isn't just a little off, it's definitely not accurate. Again, still a great episode, just really off in terms of referring to him as a White House employee.

His name was Ivan and married a famous Czechoslovakia actress. He was also in England and spoke no english searching for political asylum. He was probably Russian Perhaps he was a defector from the Soviet Union and to get out of there was very very difficult. Plus he had political relationships at the highest levels of government later in life. Well educated, a MD (not sure what kind of doctor)and spoke multiple languages and got out of the USSR at the height of the Cold War.

I'm also an urban explorer and found a Mossburg 12 gage rifle years ago during one of my explorations. Obviously you don't want any weapons to fall into the hands of a bad person so I actually took it to a local police station and explained how i found it. They were actually cool about it and I was able to keep it because the gun did not have a serial number on it. Turns out it was a pre '68 vintage model but it's hard to know what to do when you find something like that

I believe that the owner of this house has had a good life - and certainly an interesting one, rich in experiences, as travel and knowledge of languages are very enriching. The moment you opened the photo album of the house cracked me up. You can see that the man loved this house and put a lot of heart into creating it, hence these before and after renovation photos - the progress has pleased him greatly. It's depressing that today, after a few years, this beloved house of his is reverting back to the state it was in before the owner's actions; it's as if it's coming full circle of its lifespan - from zero to tremendous progression, the glory years, and then it's an even keel and it's heading towards a house in need of renovation again, which is simply passing away - just as its caretaker's life has passed. The man blogged it so that the world would know it - and now, thanks to you, the world knows it - I, for example, am now watching it from Poland. This is probably not what the man expected - you are doing him a nice favour.

What if though while exploring an abandoned house you found government documents telling the truths of everything and the secrets of universe and stuff and then bad guys are like hey you can’t see that and then its escape and it’s like a movie or something

What saddens me the most about abandoned homes are the memories left behind and who were with them on their last days?

If power was still on in the place if you look when he shows the microwave you can see the clock on. Adjust the rest of the breakers off

I'm always so worried your going to get tagged for trespassing. Do you get permission from the local PD before entering these places?

You need to be trespassed first (told to leave and not come back) to be considered trespassing. As long as there aren't signs up and you aren't breaking in.

I wasn't worried, until I saw that the electricity is still on 😳😳 someone's paying that bill. Oh well, at least they're respectful when they explore. I don't think the caretaker would be all too mad about it.

Maybe the electricity bill is direct debit from a bank account that was never closed but still has money in it
